Highland Springs & Saukie Golf Courses Each course offers a challenging yet fun golf experience for all players. Highland Springs, located at 9500 35th St. W.

Highland Springs and Saukie Golf Courses are two well-maintained, customer friendly golf courses operated by the City of Rock Island's Parks and Recreation Department. The City of Rock Island operates two 18-hole public golf courses; Highland Springs and Saukie Golf Courses. is a championship layout with rolling terrain, full service proshop, driving range, and pavilion to accommodate large outings. Saukie Golf Course, located at 3101 38th St., is an executive length course with challenges for every level of golfer, full service proshop, and a pavilion that can host small outings and groups. Both courses offer great rates for daily play, opportunities for groups and outings, leagues, plus special events such as our popular Couples' Night. Lessons are also offered on our driving range throughout the season. Tee times can be made up to one week in advance. Call 732-2278 for Saukie or 732-7265 for Highland Springs.

It's that time of year for essential course maintenance, including greens and tee aeration.

Please note the following schedules:
Saukie:
Monday, September 28 - Front 9 Closed;
Tuesday, September 29 - Course Closed;
Wednesday, September 30 - Back 9 Closed.
We anticipate a full reopening on Thursday, October 1st, weather and equipment permitting.

Highland Springs:
Monday, October 5th - Back 9 Closed;
Tuesday, October 6th - Back 9 Closed;
Wednesday, October 7th - Front 9 Closed;
Thursday, October 8th - Front 9 Closed.

We expect to reopen fully on Friday, October 9th, pending favorable weather and equipment conditions.

Rockridge Girls getting in a sunrise practice this morning. The high school matches at Highland Springs and Saukie were cancelled for this afternoon due to the heat. We now have open tee times this afternoon. Remember Wednesdays at Saukie is 2 golfers for $50 after 1pm.
