Helping People Enjoy Life! The Rockford Park District is the third largest park and recreation system in Illinois.

For over 100 years, Rockford Park District has helped people enjoy life. From hitting the links or courts, to enjoying our many beautiful parks, pools, programs, and events – we have provided countless experiences and wonderful memories. The Rockford Park District is the "best" urban park and recreation system in North America, as judged by those we serve.

Construction began in mid-July to renovate the park and playground at Bloom Park thanks to community input.

Kids and community members chose Option 2 and the design featured the largest playground structure with the playground being relocated closer to the school. Option 2 also provides additional paths and seating.

We are busy installing brand-new playground equipment along with new pathways which will provide better circulation throughout the park. Repairs to the tennis courts will be done in 2027.

The playground colors selected compliment the Bloom School colors.

The world was watching, and the Rockford Park District was proud to help make it happen. 🌍⚾

Historic Beyer Stadium reopened, the Women’s Baseball World Cup came to our region for the first time, and Baseball for All inspired the next generation of girls in baseball. While the spotlight was on the field, our team was working behind the scenes prepping fields, grooming infields, lining fields, coordinating parking, running concessions, and keeping three venues tournament-ready from sunrise to sunset.

It’s this combination of world-class venues and experienced operators that makes Rockford and Loves Park premier destinations for national and international sporting events. We were honored to help welcome the world and support the next generation of women and girls changing the game.
