The Playmate iGENIE Tennis Ball Machine Delivery Experience at Pelican Landing in Bonita Springs. Thank you to long, long time tennis bud and friend Dave Richardson, Director of Tennis and Pickleball for arranging a passionate group of staff and frequent ball machine users. Dave has been at Pelican Landing for over 20 years and the club and courts are a thing of beauty.

I wanted to share this important video of how students/players learn an “Open Skill” Sport such as Tennis. This video is a very drilled down video of our 4-Hour Specialty Course and our Club Athlete Tennis IQ Clinic we have done all over the country for decades. I have had the extreme privilege of traveling the world and experiencing incredible people/mentors who deal with and instruct all forms of complex motor skill sports and environments. I thought providing this video would help speed up the learning process/curve for those tennis teaching professionals that have not been afforded the opportunities I have been given and all the studying my butt off I have done on this subject for 36 years. Hopefully this will serve as a helpful tool for the player who may feel like they have plateaued with their game or only plays well in lessons.

Another surgery on my wrist and elbow yesterday. This is my 4th surgeon. The pain has been constant and severe enough I couldn’t lift anything with my right hand. The first surgery last year did nothing. The second and third surgeons gave pretty dark outlooks on me ever playing again and requiring bone fusion. Both those surgeons knew I failed a nerve test but they didn’t put faith in its accuracy. I decided to research the nerve angle and found Dr Jurbala in Lakeland, FL. Dr Jurbala, a pioneer in orthopedic surgery, has a patented method and tool using ultrasound technology to diagnose and relieve impinged nerves. After a lot of tests and using his technology he found I had three impinged nerves flat as a pancake, one in my hand, one in my wrist and one in my elbow. His method is revolutionary because this type of surgery is generally done in a hospital under anesthesia with major scars, costs and long rehabs, but he did it in his office just by numbing me up. The incisions were less than a quarter of an inch as opposed to over an inch and a half. I am so excited to get past the initial healing in the next week to see where I am at with the pain.

Celebrity Chef, Chef Gason from New Orleans, came by the home courts today for a little Tennis IQ Mini Camp. What a pleasure working with such an amazing person. We accomplished a lot. Already looking forward to next time and maybe some Jambalaya. Haha!

The 2026 Playmate Ball Machines National Sales Meeting Tech Rep Challenge Champions. (in sudden death question playoff 29-28) The Challenge is a two team competition between the Playmate Tech Reps involving questions and demonstrations throughout the week. The champion’s team name was the MPM192’s (a part number from our Ball Mower 2.0) and the runner ups were the iGRANDSLAMMERS.
