🇺🇸 Haywood County, North Carolina | 12 September

The Road to Beijing heads into the mountains of North Carolina as Haywood County welcomes riders to the new Raccoon Creek Bike Park in Waynesville.

Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the new bike park features a Velosolutions Pump Track alongside skills courses and community spaces designed for riders of all ages and abilities.

This Saturday, it’s time to put it to the test as riders battle for World Championship qualification.

Across the Atlantic, we’re racing in Italy too.

Gambettola’s Velosolutions Pump Track forms part of a regional cycling centre developed by After Skull A.S.D., a club with deep roots in MTB and BMX racing.

With dirt tracks, dedicated dirt jump lines and the pump track bringing everything together, the venue is built around a thriving local riding community. On Saturday, it steps onto the international stage as the Road to Beijing arrives in Gambettola.

🇨🇱 Santiago, we’re coming!

The Chile qualifier has a new home. On 20 September, the Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships heads to La Plaza Bikepark in Santiago.

Set against the foothills of the Andes in Las Condes, the 10-hectare bikepark features pump track, cross-country, dirt jumps and mountain bike trails.

And Santiago knows a thing or two about world-class pump track racing. The city hosted the 2022 Pump Track World Championships Final, and now we’re heading back with qualification for the 2026 World Final in Beijing on the line. 🇨🇱🇨🇳

🇲🇾 A big day of racing in Miri!

More than 100 riders across all categories descended on the Velosolutions Pump Track in Miri for the latest Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships Qualifier.

With temperatures around 33°C and plenty of Malaysian heat and humidity, the team in Miri put on a fantastic event with riders from across the region and beyond taking to the track.

🇫🇷 Rockstar, Lauryne Sutur came to Miri chasing her first qualifier victory of the season. After racing four qualifiers already this year and missing the French round through injury, she kept pushing herself throughout the day and stopped the clock at 22.958 to finally take that win.

🇲🇾 Ariana Nurminda Arifin finished second on home soil, ahead of 🇧🇳 Nursyakirah Binti Sulhi and 🇲🇾 Sinanawati Marto Mening.

The Australians fancied their chances in the men’s race, but 🇯🇵 Tetsuya Furuno had other plans. His 19.593 spoiled the Aussie party, putting him ahead of Bailey Meares and Tyson Cobby and sending him back to the World Championships once again.

🇨🇳 Yuxuan Zheng claimed the final qualifying spot in 20.264. The Beijing local made the trip from China looking for a top four and a ticket to the World Championships in his home city. In his first Elite qualifier, he got exactly that. 👊

Another sign that the next generation of Chinese riders is ready to make its mark internationally.

SEPTEMBER IS STACKED 🌍

The final stretch of the 2026 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships qualifying season is here, with racing across Asia, Europe, North America and South America throughout September.

We kick things off this weekend in Miri, Malaysia, before heading into a double-header on 12 September in Gambettola, Italy and Haywood County, USA.

Then it’s on to Ilanz, Switzerland and Santiago, Chile, before Loosdrecht, Netherlands closes out a packed month of racing.

Every stop means another opportunity to earn a place at the 2026 Pump Track World Championships in Beijing. 🔥

🇦🇷 Neuquén crowns South America’s fastest 🔥

Rders from Argentina, Brazil and Chile battled for the South American titles and qualification for the Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships in China.

In the Elite Women’s field, Argentina’s Luz Yasmin Torres came out on top, taking the win ahead of compatriots Alma Piñeiro Grecco in second and Francesca Zabala in third.

The result also secured all three riders their places at the World Championships, with Chile’s Renata Urrutia Díaz taking the fourth qualifying spot.

In the Elite Men’s racing, Chile’s Sebastián Méndez claimed the top step of the podium, with Brazil’s Francesco Guani finishing second and Argentina’s Santiago Melián completing the top three.

Santiago García secured fourth place to join them on the list of riders heading to China.

🇸🇰 Fast racing and new track records in Slovakia!

The Kristínas set the pace in the women’s field, with Kristína Madarásová qualifying first ahead of Kristína Nováková after both riders showed serious speed throughout the day.

When it came to the Big Final, Nováková found another gear, stopping the clock at 19.142 seconds to set a new women’s track record and take the win by just 0.084 seconds over Madarásová, who also delivered her fastest lap of the day with a 19.226.

The victory made it an even bigger day for Nováková, who claimed her first Slovak National Championship title. 🇸🇰🏆

In the men’s field, Brajan Nowak was the man to beat. The Polish rider dominated throughout the day, getting faster round after round before sealing the victory in the Big Final.

Dawid Kożuch delivered when it counted, producing his fastest lap at the crucial moment to secure second place and his ticket to the World Championships. His semi-final battle with Adrian Pastucha was razor-thin, with Kożuch advancing by just 0.049 seconds.

Daniel Hradsky completed the podium in third, his third P3 finish of the season, and took home the Slovak National Championship title. 🇸🇰 Adrian Pastucha rounded out the top four after consistently dipping below the 18-second mark.

It was a great day of racing all round, with around 72 kids and Masters riders taking to the track ahead of the Championship racing. A fantastic atmosphere, great hospitality and a well-organised event carried through into the evening, with a concert wrapping up the day. 🙌

We also wish Olga Biegun, Mateusz Skibiński and Jakub Geroć all the best for a speedy recovery. ❤️‍🩹

With the 2026 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships getting closer, the final qualifiers are coming up and there are still tickets to Beijing on the line.

Who’s joining us? 🌈

The Pump Track World Champs qualifier in Joplin, Missouri delivered a seriously hot day of racing, with temperatures reaching 39°C. A total of 94 riders lined up across the kids, age group and elite categories, before the action moved under the lights for the night finals.

In the women’s field, Hope Esperanza Anderson and youngster Amelia Renaldi set the pace throughout the day. Hope, who was already qualified for the World Championships, led from the early rounds and kept her composure when Amelia began producing some very quick runs in the semi-final and Big Final.

Amelia combined speed with plenty of style and airtime, eventually finishing second behind Hope. Currey Nelson, also already qualified, looked quick in the semi-finals but a costly mistake ended her chance of reaching the Big Final. Katrina Dipietrantonio completed the women’s top four.

The men’s racing was incredibly tight. Tommy Zula was flying from the start, setting a new track record and the fastest time of the day in qualifying with a 17.637-second run.

Behind him, local BMX favourite Max Austin had the biggest support crew of the night and found another gear when it mattered. Max, Amakye Ard and Keagan Nelson battled closely through the rounds before Max challenged Tommy in the Big Final with his fastest run of the event, also dipping under 18 seconds.

Tommy ultimately held on for the win, with Max taking second, Amakye third and Keagan fourth.
