This year’s race will take place on Friday, November 27, at our Rockport facility, welcoming runners, walkers, and waddlers of all ages for a morning filled with movement, community, and gratitude.

Last year, an incredible 474 participants joined us for our most successful race in recent memory, and we’re excited to make this year’s event even bigger! But don’t wait to register. We’re capping registration at 500 participants, so spots are limited.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Puthiery Va, Director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and her team to the Penobscot Bay YMCA today as they visited Midcoast organizations supporting the health and well-being of our communities.

During a tour of our facility, we talked about the many programs and services the Y offers to support community health—including childcare, active older adult programming, aquatics and swim programs, grant-funded community health initiatives, and so much more.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to highlight the important work happening here at the Y and proud to be part of the strong network of partnerships advancing public health throughout the Midcoast.
