5 months of lifting weights with a Tonal. I still like it and I have yet to try all the options. It steadily ups the resistance no matter how much I cuss and want to renegotiate. It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed my workouts and I’m surprised! I don’t notice any changes in my body. I’m not ripped. My nutrition isn’t consistently on point (🥳). So, it’s encouraging to see stats about the right kind of gains. 💪🏼

The highlight of my weekend was attending the Biker Barre birthday party. I finally met IN-PERSON zoom barre clients!!! My online classes over the pandemic have helped me feel a little normal in a totally NOT normal year. Thank you “Jamie S.” and the whole Biker Barre family for logging on. As boring as some days seemed, you kept me motivated. Jamie said her 1st class with me was on Cinco De Mayo last year. She was shocked that I did an entire class wearing a Sombrero. Ha! This is no surprise to anyone who hangs out with me. That’s how I roll! 🎲I’m not into boring. And girl - if you come to class today at 4pm, we are doing a lot of calf and balance work to get our legs ready for some summer heels & wedges! 😉💃💪🏼💃 🎂

Day 2 - 1/2 marathon🏃🏽♀️
It was 40 degrees and raining! I’m not sure if there is perfect gear for that scenario, but it seemed fitting for a pandemic. Damp, no cheering crowds, no fun to be had in the beer garden - just the tempo of my feet and the person ahead to beat. I’m not a consistent runner. I found it after college when I was trying to figure out my future, I went back to it when my sister died of cancer, and now during a pandemic. Running helps me deal with fear. Maybe because you focus on moving forward no matter what. You can let your crazy out & run past it. Running has always been a tool in my own mental healthcare. This fu***ng pandemic has got me eating hills for breakfast again. 🤪 The best part of the race was coming into the finish line with my guys cheering me on at an empty finish line. It was a highlight to see the kids be the 📣cheerleader for THIS weekend. It was my turn.

I’m a sucker for a 9am beer. Day 1 done for the Canaan Valley 5k. Tomorrow, I go for the 1/2 marathon. It’s been a long time since I rock and rolled. Like - 5 yrs.

Going into my 2nd month of using Tonal. Month #1 I used their programming. Month #2 + I’m using my own custom programming from . Biggest change is going from lifting 3 days a week to 5 👀. So far so good with my sessions only lasting 1/2hr. But I know that will change. If I see a 6pack in 2021- I WILL post that 🦄

Are you making the most of your home workouts? Today I had to press pause, dig my disco lights out of a box, and make it fun again. Put on a diffuser, turn up the music, do whatever you need and show up for yourself! It will make a difference in your performance. WHO is going to be ready to dance all night long with me? 🏃🏽♀️Move it or lose it amigos 💃🏻
