On our Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 10, we were able to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Bortnick family, whose generosity made the Debby and Gary Bortnick Family Courtyard a reality.
For the dedication, our CEO, Josh Bender and families planted tomatoes and flowers in our new planter boxes. We are so excited to share this inclusive and accessible outdoor space with our community this summer during camp and many more occasions to come.🪴

Congratulations to Peter Annlius (volunteer) and our staff Alex Band (Bender ECC Senior Director) and Noah Berger (Marketing Associate) on being recognized for staff and volunteer awards for their achievements this past year! The award were given out our Annual Meeting with Bender JCC staff, board members, and their families in attendance.
Thank you to everyone who came to the the opening reception and awards ceremony on Sunday, June 7 for the Through Our Eyes™ exhibit.
The collection features 45 original works, expressing joy and defiance amid rising antisemitism. This student-led initiative, with StandWithUs, empowers teens, strengthens culture, and captures a 2026 snapshot of identity and hope.

The exhibit runs from June 7-13.
