We have some pretty exciting news to share! ⛳️🏌️‍♂️
Later this month, Mt. Kineo Golf Course will host Greenville High School’s first varsity golf match at Kineo!
This one is extra special for us because our Golf Course Manager is also the Greenville High School Varsity Golf Coach, and his dedication to both the course and his team has helped make this possible.
While this isn’t Greenville High School’s first home varsity golf match, it will be the first one held here at Mt. Kineo. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome these student-athletes to their new home course!
We’re proud to support these young golfers and the next generation of the game we all love.
We can’t wait to cheer them on! ⛳️
Here’s to great golf, great sportsmanship, dedicated employees and all the great things happening here at Mt. Kineo! 💙

What a weekend at Mt. Kineo! ⛳️

We had an incredible weekend, including a record-breaking Saturday with golfers, hikers, shuttle passengers, and guests visiting the clubhouse!

Our Labor Day Tournament was the perfect way to wrap up our 2026 tournament season, with a great mix of new and familiar faces, a beautiful day on the course, and most importantly, great sportsmanship all around.

We are incredibly thankful for everyone who visited, golfed, participated, and supported Mt. Kineo throughout the weekend and this tournament season.

What a weekend and what a season! Only 4 and half weeks left! ⛳️

⛴️⛳️ SHUTTLE SCHEDULE REMINDER
Peak season at Mt. Kineo is almost behind us! 🍂
Starting Tuesday, September 8th, the shuttle will return to our off-peak season schedule.
If you’re planning a trip over to Kineo for a round of golf, lunch, or just to enjoy the island, please be sure to check the shuttle schedule before making your plans or booking your tee time.
And don’t worry — the season isn’t over yet! There’s still plenty of time to enjoy Kineo this fall. 🍁⛳️

⛳️ MEET BAYLYNN ⛳️
Clubhouse Manager • Golfer • Turkey BLT crafter & enthusiast👏

If you’ve spent any time at Mt. Kineo, chances are you’ve met Baylynn, our Clubhouse Manager! She’s been part of the Kineo crew for two years, but her love for golf started well before that.

🏌️ Who taught her to golf? Her dad ❤️
She learned at 15 years old at Dexter Municipal Golf Course and Piscataquis Country Club, and one of her favorite traditions is heading out for a birthday round with her dad every year.🎉

⛳️ Favorite hole at Kineo: Hole #1 — because the first hole sets the tone for the whole round. No pressure. 😉

🎯 Best shot: Hole #7 at Kineo... within ONE FOOT of the pin. 🙌 and yes, we all still hear about it.

🏌️‍♀️ Driver or putter? Driver.
🚗 Walking or riding? Riding. FOR SURE. 🤣
🌅 Morning or evening golf? Early morning with the dew still on the grass.
😬 Biggest golf pet peeve? People who take the game way too seriously.
🚩 One rule she’d change? Out of bounds. Because who needs that kind of negativity? 😂
🌯 Clubhouse favorite? Turkey BLT wraps. Her official review: “FIRE!” 🔥

Her dream foursome? Her dad, Nick Hanson & Paul Blair and playing best ball for sure ⛳️

Dream course? She might tell you Mt. Kineo first 😉, but Augusta National would definitely make the list.

When she’s not working at the course… there’s a pretty good chance she’s still at Mt.Kineo, playing a round with her sister. 👯‍♀️

And her advice for anyone playing Mt. Kineo for the first time?
Enjoy the view. Golf the view. Most importantly, have fun. 💚

For Baylynn, the best part of Mt. Kineo is the guests, the community, the island residents and my coworkers. "We are like a family". Also, that morning shuttle ride across Moosehead Lake. Not a bad commute to work. 🛥️

Next time you see Baylynn in the clubhouse, be sure to say hi! But most importantly, whatever you do… don’t take your golf game too seriously around her. 😉⛳️

⛳️ Those late evening rounds at Kineo are starting to wind down!

Our shuttle returns to the off peak season schedule beginning September 8th, which means there are only a couple more weeks to take advantage of those long summer evenings on the course.

Grab a tee time, catch the shuttle, and squeeze in a few more summer nights at Kineo while you still can. ☀️🏌️
