Now in its 11th year, Cleveland Suburban has grown from 40 to 150 players, changed locations, served players from over 20 high school programs, and now includes the Cleveland Suburban Elite travel team.

As the high school season officially starts today, we wanted to thank all the players and families for being a part Cleveland Suburban and helping us have great, smooth fall and winter seasons. The level of skill and camaraderie was high, and hopefully allowed players to get their game ready for spring. We sold out fall and winter again, working with 270 players from 24 different schools in the area, and are thankful for support we have gotten from players, coaches and communities for 25 years.

We especially want to thank the players who have been a part of Cleveland Suburban for much of their high school careers. For the ‘26, we have 25 players (so 1/6 of the winter players) who took part in Cleveland Suburban fall and winter leagues for 3+ years. This includes our first ever 5 year players in Alan Grendow and KC Larue of , who started their journey early and both were part multiple championships.

To all the players, and especially these 25 seniors, thank you and good luck this spring.

We have a champion! After 9 weeks full of great players and competition, where there were no undefeated or winless teams, and numerous one goal and OT games, the playoffs concluded on Wednesday with a bang. Week 9 ended with good consolation games before the title game tilt between #10 Green and #1 Navy, and the game did not disappoint.

The championship game was a battle between two senior led squads, and led to a tough, well fought game. It was a back and forth game, where Green controlled the X with , got a big game with 6 goals from .huff1 and battled with Navy’s .smith1116, but in the end Navy got 4 goals each from Smith and .cheon, shut down D from and big saves from to take the title 12-9. Congrats to Navy and its players from , and , and thanks to Cleveland Printwear for the sweet championship hoodies.

The 25th winter season was a great way to get ready for spring, with almost 30 college commits playing, and was as competitive as any season we have had. The offseason concludes tomorrow with the winter league all star game before HS practices officially begin Monday. Thanks to all the players, families and staff.

Championship week! Week 9 is tomorrow, and that marks the last games of year 25 of the Cleveland Suburban winter league. It has been a fun, competitive winter, with no undefeated or winless teams and nearly 30 college commits playing. This final week offers one more chance to compete and get better before spring season, and offers 5 new matchups in addition to the title game.
And the championship game at 7 should be good, as #1 Navy has led by Rocky River’s Joe Smith and Revere’s Luke Simpson on offense, along with RR’s Cohen Blair and Anderson Hahn in front of Gordon Hudson on D for much of winter, while underdog #10 Green made their way on FO dominance of Olmsted Falls Parker Link (ONU commit), balanced offense from Shaker’s Will Huff and Orange’s Jimmy Bobeck, and strong D from OF Logan Luiere (Lewis commit) and in the net from Shaker’s Gideon Polster. This should be a fun one.

Schedule is posted.

We will end with the all star fan next week at 430-rosters to come. See you tomorrow!
