💍 Earlier this summer, this sweet couple reached out and asked if we would choreograph a dance for their wedding! 💍

My immediate thought was, “Are you sure you don’t want to ask, like… a professional ballroom dancer?!” 😂 But they asked US, so of course we said YES!

We spent hours together in the studio and even time in their backyard practicing. Neither of them had any dance experience, and they absolutely CRUSHED the choreography. Watching it all come together on their wedding day was so special!

They now have this little piece of their wedding day that they can look back on forever!

The bride, Kelsie, was absolutely STUNNING. And her husband did a pretty phenomenal job driving the boat. 😉😂 (“Jesse, YOU are driving this boat!”)

We are so grateful they trusted us to be a tiny part of such a special season of their lives. 💃 🕺

🌊 🤸‍♀️ Michelle spent her early years as a gymnast with the South Lyon Gymnastics Team. In high school she was a competitive cheerleader and member of the poms team. In college she went on to join the Grand Valley State University Poms Team.

Michelle later became a youth cheerleading coach and gymnastics instructor. In 2021, she moved to Rogers City with her husband, David and their goldendoodle, Declan.

Michelle is excited for another fun year teaching acro/gymnastics at Lakeside Dance Company! 🌊 🤸‍♀️

🌊 🩰 TODAY’S THE DAY! 🌊 🩰

💃🏻 It’s officially the FIRST DAY of dance season at Lakeside Dance Co.! We are kicking things off tonight with our Juniors! 💃🏻

🤍 Our 7 to 9 year dancers will be dancing from 5:30 to 7:00 PM with the wonderful Miss Ashley! We are SO excited to see these strong, confident young ladies back in the studio and ready to dance! 🤍

Ashley is a proud Rogers City native! She danced at The Dance Centre in Alpena from ages 3–18 before continuing her dance journey with Thunder Bay Theatre’s Dance Academy. After graduating from Alpena Community College, Ashley went on to attend Central Michigan University, where she was an active member of the Infusion Dance Team for three years. Ashley moved back to Rogers City in 2025 after graduating from CMU and joined the Lakeside Dance Company family in 2026, beginning as an assistant and helping with choreography.

🌊 She is so excited to continue growing, dancing, and creating with our Lakeside dancers, and we know she is going to have an AMAZING first night with our Juniors! 🌊

🌊🩰 We are SO excited for Dance to start Monday, September 14!

🪧🦺 Lead Contractor Roman John (age 3) said it was simply unacceptable for our building to not have a sign up for the first day of Dance! 🪧🦺

🏔️ 💕 Since we’re currently working on some renovations for our façade grant, he decided we needed a little welcome area out front so our dancers could arrive feeling welcomed, excited, and FULL of joy!🏔️ 💕

As you can imagine… renovations are going about as well as they possibly can with four toddlers running the job site. 😂

💙But little by little, we’re making our studio even more special, and we can’t wait to welcome our dancers back Monday! 💙
