Rogers Heritage Athletics Hall Of Fame

We are looking for nominees for the Heritage Hall of Fame class of 2026! In order to be eligible, players or teams need to be from the class of 2016 or before. To submit a candidate, fill out the nomination form complete with letters of recommendation and information requested at the link below. Forms may be submitted to [email protected] or turned into Heritage High school or the Athetlic Director's office at the admin building. Forms must be submitted by June 30, 2026.

The class of 2026 will be announced no later thanSeptember 1st and will be recognized in ceremony and at a War Eagles football game this fall. Once nominated, nominees stay on the ballot to be voted on for 5 years.

Welcome to the Hall of Fame, KACEY MURPHY! Kacey is one of the most decorated pitchers in War Eagles history. He ranks second all time in Wins, Innings, and Strikeouts while owning a 2.29 Career ERA. He was also a force with the bat, owning the 2nd best single season batting average and ranking fourth all time in home runs. Kacey went on to play for the University of Arkansas, making 27 starts for the Razorbacks, before being drafted by the Detroit Tigers. Come celebrate Kacey and our 2025 Hall of Fame class!

Welcome to the Hall of Fame, CHASE
KILGORE Chase was one of the most productive
hitters in War Eagles history. He is our all time leader
in stolen bases, runs scored, and walks, and he ranks
in the top 10 of nearly every other offensive category.
He went on to play at Pittsburgh State University, and
has remained in the game as the current head baseball
coach at Joplin High School. Come celebrate Chase
and our 2025 Hall of Fame class!

Welcome to the Hall of Fame, EMILIE JOBST! Emilie was a three time All Conference Player and and All State selection for the War Eagles Basketball program. She still owns the records for most 3 pointers made and 3 point percentage. She went on to continue her career at the University of Central Missouri and won the 2018 National Championship during her time there. Come celebrate Emilie and our 2025 Hall of Fame class!

Welcome to the Hall of Fame, REED BROWN! Reed was the first quarterback in War Eagles history, and he passed his way to nearly 8,000 yards and 76 touchdowns in his All Conference Career. He was also a two-sport star who still ranks on the Heritage baseball leader board in career hits, home runs, RBIs, Wins, and Saves. He went on to play both sports at Missouri S&T and earned all conference honors on the baseball diamond. Come celebrate Reed and our 2025 Hall of Fame class!

It is our great honor to present the War Eagles Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025! Our induction ceremony will occur at 5:00 on Friday, October 17th at the HHS auditorium, and we will recognize each of these worthy inductees at halftime of our football game that night at 7:00. Congratulations to:

Emilie Jobst
Emilie was a standout on the basketball floor for the War Eagles. She was 3X All-Conference selection and 2014 All State selection. She still ranks #2 on the War Eagles scoring list, and is still the all-time leader in 3 Pointers made (201) and 3 PT Percentage (38.3%). After Heritage, she signed to play for Central Missouri State where they won the Division II National Championship in 2018.

Kacey Murphy
One of the best pitchers ever to grace the mound at Heritage, Kacey was a 3X All Conference selection and made the All state tournament team in 2014 and 2015. And he was honored on the All State team in 2014. He is second in history in both Wins and Strikeouts and ranks fifth in career ERA (2.29). A complete player, he also owns the 2nd best single season batting average in War Eagles history, batting 0.488 in 2014. Kacey went on to play at the University of Arkansas, going 13-6 for the Razorbacks before being drafted by the Detroit Tigers.

Chase Kilgore
A dominant leadoff hitter and run producer for the War Eagles, Chase was a 3X All Conference performer and named to the All State baseball team in 2015. Chase is still our career leader in Runs Scored (112), Walks (88) and Stolen Bases (68), and he is in the War Eagles top 10 in nearly every offensive category including singles, doubles, triples, home runs, and RBIs. Chase went on to play at Pitt State University and is currently the head coach at Joplin high school.

Reed Brown
Reed was an outstanding two-sport athlete for the first ever War Eagle Teams. As a quarter back on the football team, Reed was a two time All Conference selection. He passed for 5,494 yards and 55 Touchdowns and led the team to its first playoff berth. On the diamond, Reed still ranks 2nd in War Eagle History in home runs. He also is in the top 10 in batting average, RBI, runs scored, and as a pitcher is in the top 10 in both Wins and Saves. Reed went on to play both sports at Missouri S&T.

We have received some great nominees already, and we are approaching the deadline of June 26th for new nominations for induction into the Heritage Athletics Hall of fame. A reminder that candidates need to be out of school for 10 years to be considered, and they will stay on the ballot for 5 years if already nominated.

In addition to attendance at meetings where we research, nominate, and vote on candidates, our board members run our induction ceremony in the fall.
