If your kiddo clings a little tighter before class, feels unsure about getting in or needs extra time before trying a new skill, you’re probably wondering: Should I keep going?

Feeling nervous around something new can take time to work through. That’s why progress doesn’t always look like swimming across the pool.

Those kicks, pulls, crab walks, breaths, and floats get stronger with practice. Consistent lessons give kiddos the chance to keep working on what they know while building the skills they’re ready to tackle next.

So when you see your little fish doing it AGAIN (and again…and again 😅), know that repetition is helping turn practice into progress. 🧡

“How long will it take my child to learn to swim?” 🏊

It’s one of the biggest questions swim parents have, and the answer is: there isn’t one timeline that fits every swimmer.

Age, previous experience, comfort in the water, and consistency with lessons can all play a role in how kiddos progress. And learning to swim isn’t one single milestone! Skills build on each other over time, from getting comfortable in the water to floating, kicking, breathing, and swimming more independently.

So instead of watching the calendar, watch for the progress. 🧡

That new skill they couldn't do before? That little bit more independence? That’s learning to swim happening right in front of you. 🌊

Celebrating 5 years with Mrs. Sam! 💛 From the very beginning, Mrs. Sam has been such a bright light on our team. As one of our amazing Assistant Managers, she leads with kindness, patience, and a true heart for both our swimmers and her team. She is always ready to step in, support others, and make sure everything runs smoothly. Whether she’s helping a nervous kiddo feel comfortable in the water or jumping in wherever she’s needed most, she truly embodies what it means to be a team player. Her positive energy and genuine care make a lasting impact on everyone she meets, and our pool is a better place because of her. We are so grateful for everything she has given over the past 5 years. Mr. Canon recently received an “Exceeds Expectations” rating on his Ellis & Associates audit—a wonderful accomplishment and a reflection of his dedication to water safety, professionalism, and doing his job with excellence.

As a lifeguard, Mr. Canon plays an incredibly important role in keeping our swimmers safe, and we are so thankful for the focus and care he brings to the pool deck each day. His hard work and commitment to safety do not go unnoticed!
