Gabbie Bishop: Leaving a legacy beyond the Track 📸

Earlier this year, Providence Academy alumna Gabbie Bishop ‘26 was named the 2025-2026 Gatorade Player of the Year for Arkansas Girls Track and Field. With that honor came an opportunity to make an impact far beyond her accomplishments on the track.

As Gatorade Player of the Year, Gabbie was given the opportunity to nominate a charitable organization for a Gatorade Player of the Year Spotlight Grant. Gabbie chose Shoes4Athletes, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality athletic shoes to athletes in need. We are thrilled to share that Gabbie’s nomination was selected, and that Shoes4Athletes will receive a $10,000 grant from Gatorade!

The Providence Academy community could not be more proud of Gabbie for continuing to use her platform to serve others as she begins the next chapter of her career with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Thank you to Gatorade POY for investing in student-athletes and empowering them to make a difference in their communities, and congratulations to Shoes 4 Athletes!

This week’s Patriot Athlete of the Week is Addyson Velez!

Addyson is this week’s Patriot Athlete of the Week for her outstanding overall performance to start the season, helping lead the Lady Patriots to a 2-1 record in non-conference. Addyson has an impressive 0.295 hitting % and 52 kills already this season.
