To my Bee Well Yoga family,
As we get ready to celebrate 10 years of Bee Well Yoga, I’ve found myself thinking about all the little moments that somehow became a really big, beautiful story.
When I opened the studio, I was seven months pregnant, equal parts excited, scared, and probably a little crazy. 😂 I had no idea what Bee Well would become. I certainly never imagined that this little yoga studio would grow into a community that would hold so much love, laughter, friendship, healing, and connection.
And then there was that baby…
Some of you remember when my little one used to come to the Sunday Deep Chill class, hanging out in the studio and resting right alongside you while we practiced. You watched my family grow, and in so many ways, you became part of our family, too.
Over these 10 years, there have been SO many moments I never want to forget.
Remember when we packed our bags and took our yoga practice to Canada, Mexico and Ireland? When we gathered at Rosete Family Farm for yoga, meditation, food, dancing and a little wild-and-free magic? Or when we ventured out to Devil’s Den and practiced surrounded by nature?
Remember Yoga + Bikes + B**r? 🚲🧘♀️🍻
Remember Yoga at the Creeks, when studios came together because we believed there was enough yoga, enough community and enough love to go around?
Remember practicing under the tent during COVID? Those strange, beautiful, difficult days when we figured out how to stay connected when the world felt so disconnected?
Remember the countless workshops, challenges, teacher trainings, sound baths, Reiki sessions, retreats, celebrations, hugs, tears, laughs and conversations that happened inside those four walls?
And the teachers. Oh, the teachers. 💜
So many incredible people have shared their wisdom, their personalities, their stories and their hearts with this community. Every teacher has left a little piece of themselves at Bee Well, and every student has added something, too.
We have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries - babies and new homes. We have supported each other through hard seasons. We have made friendships. We have welcomed beginners and seasoned yogis. We have learned to stand on our heads (or change the thoughts in our heads), but more importantly, we have learned how to stand beside one another.
And Bee Well has always been about more than what happens on a yoga mat.
Our commitment to our local nonprofits, our community classes, fundraisers, food drives and our Little Free Pantry have been such an important part of who we are. You showed up again and again to give back, proving that yoga isn’t just something we practice but it is something we live.
None of that happened because of one person.
We built this together.
You built this.
Every time you walked through the door.
Every time you brought a friend.
Every time you tried something new.
Every time you stayed after class to talk or give a hug.
Every time you donated to the pantry.
Every time you traveled with us.
Every time you laughed until your belly hurt.
Every time you cried and let someone hold space for you.
Every time you chose compassion over judgment.
Every time you simply showed up.
Those are the memories I will carry with me.
When I look back at the woman who opened a yoga studio seven months pregnant, I feel an enormous amount of gratitude for the journey she unknowingly began.
And I feel even more gratitude for ALL OF YOU - the people who helped turn that little idea into the Beehive.
Ten years is a long time.
And somehow, it also feels like just yesterday.
As the Bee Well Yoga studio prepares to become jadewell, I want you to know that this is not goodbye.
It is simply a new beginning.
I am so excited to see what happens next. I am excited to watch Jade take this beautiful community into its next chapter, to see what she dreams up, what grows, what changes and what stays beautifully the same.
And I hope you’ll continue to be part of it.
Because the name may change, but the heart of this community - the kindness, connection, curiosity, compassion and willingness to show up for one another - doesn’t have to.
Thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for believing in me.
Thank you for believing in Bee Well Yoga.
Thank you for the last 10 years of memories, adventures, sweat, tears, laughter, hugs, savasanas, road trips, retreats, celebrations and so much love and growth.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your lives.
I love you, Beehive. More than you probably know.
Here’s to 10 years of being well, being together and simply being ourselves.
And here’s to whatever comes next. 🐝💚
This isn’t goodbye. It’s simply a new beginning.
With all my love and gratitude,
Allisson Butler-Kublanov
