We’re disappointed to announce that mother nature has put a twist into our plans as we have to cancel this weekend’s ranch sorting event again. After careful consideration, we’ve also made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of our summer series.

With winter approaching, the upcoming holidays and unpredictable weather make it difficult to find suitable dates to reschedule.

We are sorry for the repeated changes. Thank you to all our riders, volunteers, and supporters for your patience, understanding, and support throughout the series. We look forward to beginning another ranch sorting series in the Spring of 2027.

Good Morning and Happy Friday Everyone. Forecasters are calling for heavy rain this winter, so this might be our last couple equestrian events for 2026. October 24 we will be finishing out the Empty Saddle Club Ranch Sorting Series. October 30 will be Ranch Riding at Empty Saddle Club's TGIF, entries are $25/entry for Open/AM and Novice, and $15/entry for the youth. There will be a $5/entry office fee for this event. Entries for the ranch riding we will be using Horse Spot where you can sign up for the event as well as keep track of scores. Click the link below, and once again we are excited to have Ciao Bella providing wood fired pizza for ESC TGIF on October 30. Pattern for the ranch riding will be posted on October 16.

We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out and participated in the 2026 Rolling Hills Estates City Celebration Poker Ride yesterday.

It was great to see so many old and new faces this year, and want to say how much we appreciate the participants who come back year after year to support the equestrian community.

In the long tradition of this ride, this year marked a significant milestone - it was the first year that the ride was run on an app! I want to personally thank everyone in the community for their patience and understanding with this new change. A big thank you to Renee Koehring and Claire Litchfield with check in and helping people with the app.

Lastly, we would like to acknowledge the generosity of our local businesses and individuals who donate prizes annually, demonstrating their support for our unique community.

Good Morning Everyone,

Just a reminder for anyone going on the Poker Ride to make sure to download the Aces Poker Run App. If you are going in a group, not everyone needs to download the app. Hands can be transferred to someone in your group that has the app, or they can name the hands to whoever those hands belong to. Riders must pay and check in before that option is available the day of the event. Thank you to everyone that has donated prizes for the ride.

Empty Saddle Club' Cowboy Days is next weekend. For more details or to register click the link below.
