The Huskies hit the ice this weekend for the start of seeding round games and scrimmages! It all gets underway tonight as Mite 4 (Silva) heads to Indiana for a Friday night tilt. Good luck to all of our Huskies teams competing this weekend.

Mite 4 (Silva) had an awesome start to the season at the Miteapalooza Fall Faceoff!

The Huskies finished their first tournament with a 2-2 record, battling hard to the end in every game.

Philip Amon led the offense with 5 goals, including a hat trick, while seven different Huskies found the back of the net over the weekend. First goals of the season also came from Sawyer Vasquez, Kaleb Polzin, Jack Corrigan, Kingsley Harej, Maddux Knepper, and Dylan Gniewosz.

The team had plenty of fun both on and off the ice and came together for a great first tournament weekend. With the way they competed and battled from start to finish, there are a lot of exciting things to come this season!

Mite 2 (Apter) kicked off their season with a great weekend at the Miteapalooza Fall Faceoff!

The Huskies opened the tournament Friday with a big 7-2 win over the Joliet Jaguars, with goals from Lukas DeMott, Cody Powe, Winnie Ulrich, Jacob Prosser, Jonathan Massie, and Michael Armentano.

On Saturday, the team battled the Darien Phantoms to a hard-fought 0-0 tie, with Adrian Banach notching the shutout, before falling to the St. Jude Knights in their final game.

But the weekend was about more than just hockey! The team enjoyed a parking lot tailgate between games, giving the players and families a chance to hang out, have some fun, and bond during their first tournament together as a team.

Mite 1 (Tomasek) had an incredible start to the season at the Miteapalooza Fall Faceoff!

Playing in the tournament’s top division, the Huskies went 4-1 on the weekend, picking up wins over the Indy Ice Dragons, Phantoms, Vikings, and Cyclones before battling the Vipers in the championship game.

The offense was rolling all weekend, led by Leonardo Divizio with 12 goals and 14 points and Chase Clark with 9 goals and 11 points. Nine different Huskies found the back of the net over the five games, and every skater registered at least one point!

Gavin Heinrich stood tall in net, coming up with big saves throughout the tournament and posting a 3.0 GAA.

Taking 2nd place out of 72 Mite teams was an amazing accomplishment, especially in the team’s first games of the season.

Mite 3 (Brown) kicked off their season with a great showing at the Miteapalooza Fall Faceoff this weekend!

The team showed incredible teamwork throughout the tournament, finishing the weekend with a 2-1-1 record and a trip to the semifinals, while getting offensive contributions from all across the lineup.

Goals from Antwon Stinson (9), Jack Faucher (8), Brady Peck (7), Samuel Tabaka (5), Gunnar Wojanis (4), Alex Paramonov (4), Everett Hoyne (3), Samantha Brown (1), Emmett Creed (1), and Matthew Howard (1).

That’s 43 goals from 10 different Huskies! And on the other end of the ice, Leah Weber was lights out in net, earning a shutout in one of the games!

Lil Huskies starts this Thursday!

It’s time for our youngest future Huskies to hit the ice and have some fun. Lil Huskies is the perfect introduction for young players who already know how to skate and are ready to start learning the basics of hockey.

We’re all about helping little players fall in love with the game. Our ‘one step at a time’ instruction is designed for players 8 and younger who are interested in starting to play the game.

Lil Huskies begins Thursday, September 3, with player evaluations.

CONGRATS TO THE MEMBERS OF THE 2026–2027 HUSKIES HOCKEY CLUB!

After a summer of hard work, conditioning, and tryouts, the teams are set and we’re ready to officially kick off the 2026–2027 Huskies hockey season!

Practices begin Tuesday, September 1, for all teams. Be sure to check the Canlan Stats app regularly for your team’s schedule, updates, and other important information throughout the season.

We’re also excited to share that the Huskies Hockey Club has grown by more than 10% from last season! It’s exciting to see our Huskies family continue to grow, and we’re grateful to all of the returning and new players, families, coaches, and volunteers who are part of our club.

The teams are set. The season is here. Now it’s time to get to work and have some fun.
