With the shooting season right around the corner, we thought now would be a good time to discuss membership. We often hear from community members that they shouldn’t have to pay for something that is free. Operating this facility is anything but free. Northland Range leases land from the DNR at a cost and is then required to carry insurance as a condition of the lease. Below is a breakdown of our yearly minimum operating expenses.
Property Taxes = $836
Electric/Internet = $1362.11
DNR Lease = $453.70
Insurance = $2967.82

Facility improvements and maintenance in 2024 added to an additional $10,520.84 of expense, not including the countless hours of volunteer time. Your membership goes directly towards Northland Range and Gun Club operating costs and future upgrades. Please consider becoming a member if you use and appreciate this range.

Northland Range & Gun Club, Inc was incorporated in 1975 by a group of local citizens who dedicated their time, labor, and machinery to help create Northland Range & Gun Club, Inc. 10 miles north of the city Roseau on the Canadian Border.

The Primary purpose was to operate a shooting range and expand and encourage the shooting of shotguns, rifles, and pistols for the surrounding community to give a better knowledge of safe handling and proper care of fi****ms as well as improve marksmanship.

The Club is still run by local enthusiasts and is welcome to all.

Northland Range & Gun Club, Inc. consists of 3 trap houses with voice activated throwers, 2 s***t fields and a pistol range along with a 1,090 yard large bore range of which are only two in Minnesota.

Over the years much has been added through private and state funding for the improvements of Northland Range & gun Club, Inc.
