It's that time of year again! Time to register your player for summer ball!!
2025 ball registrations are open until April 1st please be prompt in registering your player!
In addition to some of the changes in registration there are some changes to preseason camps, in-season camps.
• Community Ed Baseball Spring Training will continue to be run through the Wensloff Baseball / Softball Academy, and you can register through the baseball website.
• Spring Training will also be offered for Fastpitch Softball through the Wensloff Baseball/ Softball Academy. This will be a great addition to the girl’s program. Register and get ready for your first games in early June.
• The Wensloff Baseball/Softball Academy will also be running the In-season clinics that will be offered for both boys (7-12) and girls age (8-12) starting in June. This registration will come at a later time.

Reminder, Baseball and Fastpitch Softball registrations are still open. Please register your player ASAP. Spring camps begin on 4/2.
For Baseball, the registration period ends on 4/1. Any players registered after that date will receive a $120 increase (late charge) with no fundraising candy to recoup costs.

• Community Ed Baseball Spring Training will now be run through the Wensloff Baseball / Softball Academy, and you can register through the baseball website. This camp is automatically added to the Cal Ripken registrations because it will also be used to evaluate players and used, when needed, to place players on an appropriate team.

• Spring Training will also be offered for Fastpitch Softball through the Wensloff Baseball/ Softball Academy. This will be a great addition to the girl’s program. Register and get ready for your first games in early June.

• The Wensloff Baseball/Softball Academy will also be running the In-season clinics that will be offered for both boys (7-12) and girls age (8-12) starting in June.

• And to top off the summer, the Wensloff Baseball/Softball Academy will be offering inhouse post season games.

At 4:00 this Friday there will be candy handout at Gilbertson. Come grab your candy you paid for at registration.

Reminder about tomorrow's Roseau Youth Baseball Clinic at the elementary school gym!!

Cost: Free!!!

Who: Cal Ripken players age 9-12

Times: 9s and 10s @ 9-11:30am
11s and 12s @ 1:00-3:30pm

What: Players will learn and practice skills/drills needed at the Cal Ripken level through high school. The clinic coaching staff will consist of high school coaches and players along with Cal Ripken coaches. During the clinic sessions, players will receive instruction on pitching, hitting, catching, fielding, and baserunning.

Parents: This is also your opportunity to ask any questions about summer youth baseball (scheduling, games, practices, playoffs, teams, etc.). The Q&A session can be particularly helpful for new Roseau baseball families wondering how to navigate registrations and the upcoming summer season.

2023 SUMMER BALL REGISTRATION

Baseball and Softball registrations are now open for your player until April 1st! Softball registrations will now be done thru the same site! Coaches will be meeting in the coming weeks and then will be reaching out to their teams for practice dates and times.

Late registration charge - Baseball

The registration period is open now through April 1st. Please abide by the registration period so we can get the fundraising candy ordered. When registration closes this year all late baseball registrations will be charged the $120 candy fee but will not receive candy to sell.

North Border League - Baseball

Preliminary details – This past post season a league was developed to better develop youth baseball for all communities in NW Minnesota; utilizing set playing dates, flexible competitive groupings and postseason play. More information to come about this exciting new league!!

On the Horizon: A new ‘North Border League’ has been created for all of our Cal Ripken teams. This is an exciting development given the amount of communities involved, flexibility with team sizes, utilization of both June & July, along with crowning a postseason champion at each level. Also mark your calendars for July 28-30th as the Roseau Legion baseball team will host the state tournament. This is the first time a tournament of this caliber has been hosted in Roseau. It will be the baseball event of the summer up in northern Minnesota!

Spring Camps
In addition to the Community Ed Youth Baseball Camp there will be a youth camp on Saturday March 25 for all Cal Ripken age players (9-12). A flyer will be sent home from school within the next week. The camp is also a great time for new baseball families to ask questions, better understand registration, and prepare for the summer months to come. Camp times for each age group will be outlined in the flyer.

If you wanna see one last Roseau youth ball game in Roseau come out to field #8 tomorrow at 5:30 & 7pm to watch international fall play our 10yr cal ripken one more time.

After that all the ball levels will be done for the season!
