A NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As our community prepares for the President’s Cup, I wanted to share some important information regarding parking and traffic around the Clauss Recreation Center and Lake Park West.

The Roselle Park District will maintain normal programs, activities, and facility operations at Clauss throughout the week.

We have been advised that PGA-related parking modifications at Lake Park West will begin Sunday, September 20, and continue through Sunday, September 27. Lake Park High School has granted use of the Lake Park West parking lots for tournament vendor parking throughout the duration of the event. Vendors may begin accessing the Lake Park High School lots as early as 5:00 a.m. and will continue to use the lots through the completion of the final rounds.

Please note that the Clauss Recreation Center parking lot is NOT a designated President’s Cup parking area for spectators or vendors. Our lot will remain available for Park District patrons, preschool families, fitness members, program participants, and other scheduled facility users.

Signage will be in place near Clauss to direct President’s Cup vendors and spectators to the appropriate parking areas across or further down the street.

With this additional activity, we anticipate increased traffic along Bryn Mawr Avenue and around Lake Park West. We encourage everyone visiting Clauss to allow a little extra travel time and use additional caution when entering and exiting our parking lot.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we continue to provide our normal Park District programs and services throughout the week.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library & Library Card Sign-Up Month
Give Your Child a Jump Start on a Lifelong Love of Reading!

The Roselle Public Library will be visiting the Clauss Recreation Center on September 15 and 16 during preschool drop-off and pick-up times to get you signed up!

Tuesday - September 15 - 10:00am-12:00pm
Wednesday - September 16 - 11:00am-1:30pm

Stop by their table to learn more about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a wonderful early literacy program that provides free, high-quality books to eligible children from birth to age five. It’s a great way to introduce young children to the joy of books and help build a lifelong love of reading.

September is also Library Card Sign-Up Month! Library staff will be available to share information about getting a library card and the many programs, resources, and services available to Roselle families.

Whether you are dropping off a preschooler or simply want to learn more, feel free to stop by Clauss on September 15 or 16. We are excited to partner with the Roselle Public Library and connect our families with these great community resources!

Roselle Public Library joins Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!

We are pleased to announce that Roselle parents of children ages birth to five can now register for the Imagination Library, an early childhood literacy program that mails free, high-quality books to your home every month, up until your child's fifth birthday. There is no cost to residents to join, thanks to the support of the Roselle Public Library Foundation and the State of Illinois.

To sign up, residents served by the Roselle Public Library District can complete the process online at https://bit.ly/ImaginationLibrary_RPLD or visit the Library's Youth Services desk for assistance. Two language options are available: English, and English/Spanish bilingual.
