Huge congratulations to Coach Ellie! From her first strides on Skatetown ice to earning a spot at HTI Hockey Academy in Toronto, Canada, we couldn’t be prouder. As our Lead Coach for Hockey 1- Learn to Play and a head coach with Lightning Elite Hockey, she has made a lasting impact on so many young players. Go chase your dreams, Ellie! 🇨🇦🥅

A few weeks ago, Skatetown figure skater Abigail B. was involved in a serious car accident in Santa Barbara. She was a passenger in a vehicle when the car left the roadway and went down a small cliff. Abigail suffered a broken neck and arm and underwent emergency surgery. Thankfully, she is recovering and showing incredible strength throughout her journey.
When Scott Crites, one of Skatetown teammates, learned about the accident, his mother wanted to do something special to support her. She handcrafted a beautiful quilt for Scott to deliver as a get-well gift—something to keep Abigail warm and remind her that her skating family is thinking of her while she recovers and watches her team perform.
This photo captures the moment Scott presented the quilt to Abigail. We are grateful she is on the road to recovery and proud to be part of such a caring and supportive Skatetown community.
