Back in the day, social media came on paper—and the “app” was called the magazine rack at the grocery store. 😄

This issue of Black Belt Magazine was sitting on the shelves in March 1972—the same month I began training in martial arts.

No scrolling. No swiping. Just a powerful image that captured a young kid’s imagination and helped begin a lifelong journey.

More than 54 years later, I’m still training, still teaching and still learning.

I shared this picture years ago, but I still love it—and the story behind it means even more to me today.

A huge THANK YOU to Master Eddie Diaz for making the trip all the way from Texas to spend the evening with our K3 family!

Master Diaz absolutely SLAYED tonight’s seminars — bringing incredible knowledge, energy, and decades of experience to the mat. 👊🔥

One thing we’ve always believed at K3: our students deserve the best. That means continuing to learn, continuing to grow, and bringing outstanding martial artists and instructors into our school so our students can learn from them firsthand.

Our Family Appreciation Potluck Picnic is this Sunday, September 27 from 1 - 4 PM at Kasebergs Park. 1151 Rand way Roseville!

Come enjoy food, time with your K3 community, and lots of games and activities for the kids. We’re excited to celebrate the families who make K3 what it is!

We will supply hotdogs and burgers. If you havent already, Please stop by the front desk to sign up for what you’re bringing to the potluck, and remember to bring lawn chairs.
