SPFPA Special News Bulletin:
A great moment for union strength in Nevada!

On June 26, 2026, the Executive Board of Security Police Association of Nevada (SPAN) in Las Vegas officially met with the Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America (SPFPA) and signed the official SPFPA/SPAN Merger Agreement.

Effective immediately, SPAN will now proudly move forward as SPFPA Local 6632 – Las Vegas.

We proudly welcome over 200 new members into the SPFPA family and extend our congratulations to all involved in making this merger a success.

A special congratulations to Brother Dwayne Phillips for his leadership and dedication throughout this process, along with everyone who played a role in bringing this historic affiliation together.

This merger represents growth, strength, and a stronger future for security professionals in Nevada.

Just a few days after the affiliation agreement was signed, the newly formed SPFPA Local 6632 Las Vegas met with President Hickey and SPFPA General Counsel, Scott Brooks, to discuss their outstanding grievances, pending arbitration cases, and unfair labor practice (ULP) charges.
