Quick reminders for this week! A few classes to be cancelled below:

11:00 am lab
3:00 pm class
4:00 pm class

Will be cancelled Tuesday (9/22) and Wednesday (9/23) only, for a special law enforcement event! !

All other classes are normal!

Adults white blue and purple belts dont forget to sign up for Submission Pro Tour gi tournament October 10th!

Also happy birthday today to John Taylor and Julio Espinoza on Thursday!

IBJJF Master worlds 2026 🌎 Day 2 competitor list!!

Master worlds post #1 pre-competition!

Big shout out to our teammates who are putting themselves out there and competing at master worlds!

We have 17 competitors going to IBJJF Master Worlds 🌎 and 2 competitors going to jiu jitsu con!!

I couldnt be prouder of the team and I know all the instructors are hype for your performance.

We have already done the hard part now we enjoy over the next 3 days!!

Thank you for pushing each other to be better and supporting each other. I always say you dont have to compete to be promoted or grow in the sport but it does help! The discipline and effort is difficult to recreate without all goal we all work towards. 💪

If you are interested in competing please let the coaches know and we'll help you get there!

Even if you aren't competing, you have contributed more than you know to this journey. Thank you!

We have seen the hard work, dedication and sacrifice our athletes make to perform well even through injuries and difficulties.

Congratulations to all the competitors and family that come to the Refuge Jiu Jitsu | Ares Affiliate champs league invitational. 🥇🥇🥇Not only did we all get to compete but .....

Kayla got her blue belt today!! 💙

This young lady has been a consistent student for about 7 years and has grown tremendously in all aspects of her life. We are proud of you and we are excited for what the future holds.

We are also proud of so many athletes who had their first tournament ever!

I talked to some of the athletes and many were scared, fear is absolutely normal it never truly goes away but choosing to push through it and using fear is a skill that is useful beyond the mats 👊

We are working on positional and high percentage techniques for the road to IBJJF Master worlds!

We have 16 competitors signed up for this prestigious tournament along with our younger competitors who are competing at jiu jitsu con!

Today was a special day and we want to celebrate it with everyone! Special shout out to Ryan Sessions , Bruce Thomas, Daniel Wuerthner , James Angelo Labanowski Jr. , Brent Shickle on their mentorship. It is great seeing people grow in the sport and in life!
