From losing 100+ lbs to absolutely dominating in the ring—Julio (aka Nacho Libre) is built different. 🥊💥
Every single task I set for him, he executes without hesitation, no matter how brutal it gets. I used to watch this man struggle just to get through a run. Now? He’s effortlessly putting down 4+ miles at an 8-minute pace, and that engine shows up when it counts. These other heavyweights simply do not have the gas tank to keep up with him.
Watching him take over the World Havoc Tournament was incredible, but honestly, seeing total strangers give him the respect and recognition he’s earned hit even deeper.
Keep building, Julio. You’re going to shine bright like the star you are. 🌟👑

9 rounds straight won. 🥊
Jasiah the Messiah stepped into the ring against three really good boxers from the East Coast and won all three bouts without losing a single round on any judge’s scorecards. Complete domination.
Jasiah, I’m so proud of you. From starting out in the summer teen camp to winning tournaments like this, watching your growth has been incredible. Thank you for allowing me to be your coach and trusting me in your corner!

My guy Alex just finished his Front Desk Certification! 🎉

Stepping completely out of his comfort zone, he dove headfirst into learning the ins and outs of customer communication, tackling mountains of paperwork, and mastering the art of sales all with a major focus on driving new enrollments.

Now he begins his Management journey!

Man s**t complete. Took some of the young guys from the gym and went over basic car must-knows: how to jump-start a battery, change a flat, and change the oil. Thank you Sean Hill for hosting at your home.

One week in Orlando for the World Havoc Boxing Tournament comes to an end. 🏆🥊

All these tournaments are special in their own way, but this one hit the heart differently.

In the ring, we had an incredible run: 2 semi-finalists, 1 silver medalist, and 5 CHAMPIONS. But the brotherhood outside of the ring was just as special.

Spending the day at Universal Studios with my boxers gave me something I realized I always wanted as a kid: Brothers. I always wanted a group of people I could truly call family. Having an all-boys trip at Universal made me stop and realize that God really works in mysterious ways. He knew there was a void in my heart and He filled it. The stories, the endless questions, and the no-phone dinners trying unfamiliar eats that’s stuff I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

To my boxers: Thank you for all the work you put in and for showcasing it so well. Getting compliments about how nice and respectful you are outside the ring and how vicious you are inside it lets me know I’ve done my job.

To my team back home: Doing all the behind the scenes work these victories are yours too. Without you, none of this happens. The coaching staff created the foundation, and our management team kept the business flowing while we were away on ring business.

To my wife: Thank you for supporting my dream. I know it’s difficult, but you never stop me from living it out. Te amo, gorda. ❤️

To my sons: I’m sorry I missed soccer practice. I promise when I get home, it’s all soccer and quality time together. I love you guys.

Now, back to the grind... In one week, we’re back at it in Oxnard, California for the International PALs! ✈️🥊

“What do you need to work on?” Getting in the gym consistently. I could give you a list of a million things, but none of it matters if you don’t show up first.

I remember my first loss while training at the Washington Center. It was at a local show on Watt Avenue that Dinamita Boxing put together.
I weighed in, but my opponent was a no show. There was another guy who weighed in 10 pounds heavier than me, and they told my coach he was the closest match available. My coach accepted the fight, but he had me weigh in a second time after eating without stripping down. I remember weighing in with my Girbauds on just so I could get close enough to make the fight legal.

I remember the fight clearly. I was confident until I realized I couldn’t hurt him, but he could definitely hurt me. As Mike Tyson says, “Everyone has a plan ‘til they get punched in the mouth.”

After I lost by decision, my coach came up to me and said, “That loss is on me. You should have never fought him.” I remember that taking a lot of the pressure off my shoulders.

Now, as a coach myself, I realize his confidence in me was just so high that he truly felt I could beat a guy who was physically much bigger and stronger.

Sometimes you feel like you’re ready to compete and ready to do more, but you’re not. It’s often because your coach doesn’t have that confidence in you yet. Show him! That confidence is built in the gym by the way you train, the way you listen, and the way you show up day in and day out.

Make sure you are always dreaming. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always had a big dream that made every day worth taking on. Even when life was tough, my dreams gave me hope.

From playing basketball all day, every day, with hopes of playing for the Kings without any actual plan in place I now realize that the purpose of that dream was simply to give me purpose when I had no love at home.

Then came boxing. Dreaming of becoming an Olympic gold medalist and a professional boxer built grit and discipline in me when I had none.

Then came my automotive dreams of owning a smog shop. Pursuing that dream taught me how to manage money and people, generate profits, and run marketing campaigns.

Looking back, I realize each dream was a part of my journey. I didn’t accomplish all of those specific goals, but pursuing them saved me from my daily hell and taught me everything I needed to learn to be successful today.
