POV: digging line, create an Angel and brace your self

🔥 Such a nice swing on the right side by Van Name! She knows there’s still work to do, and that’s what makes the process exciting. Celebrate the good, recognize what needs work, and keep getting better! 💪🏐

The setter’s job is to create a 1-on-1 opportunity for the hitter. 🎯🏐
Watch Yale’s middle and setter, Kylassa, run this play. They hold the middle and left-side blockers with the middle attack, then the set goes to the right side…
BAM 💥 NO BLOCK. OPEN NET.
Textbook ex*****on! Great timing, smart decision-making, and a setter who knows how to move the blockers and create an advantage for her hitter.
Create the matchup. Exploit the block. TERMINATE. 😤

The video doesn’t do justice to how HARD I was hitting balls at Gabs 😂💥 (wait till last few clips)

Defense is a MINDSET. You have to be willing to put your body on the line, you just have to be fearless and make a play. 💪🏐

No excuses. JUST DEFEND. 😤

Happy National Coaches Day! 🏐
Grateful for every player, parent, and fellow coach who made this season what it was. Banners and trophies are great, but the best part is the growth, the grind, and the people along the way.
To every coach out there showing up early, staying late, and believing in kids before they believe in themselves: thank you.

One thing I preach to my defenders is effort is a choice.
You can choose to go… or you can choose not to.
Being elite means choosing to give all-out effort, even when you think the ball is out of reach.
You can see that mentality right here with Lauren. She doesn’t know if she’s going to get there—she just GOES.
That’s what great defenders do.
Read it. React. Pursue. Never assume the ball is dead.
Effort is a choice. Make the right one. 💪🏐
