Exiles RFC Announces an Expanded Men’s XVs Fixture Schedule for the 2026–27 Season

Following extensive discussion and careful consideration, the Exiles RFC Executive Board has given unanimous consent to an expanded Men’s XVs fixture schedule for the 2026–27 season. Throughout the process, the Board also received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our coaches, team leaders, players, members, and volunteers.

The Men’s XVs will play approximately 10 to 12 fixtures, including additional home matches, creating substantially more opportunities for players to compete, learn, develop, and grow throughout the season.

We are, first and foremost, a traditional rugby club. We believe an expanded fixture schedule strengthens player development and retention, provides more meaningful rugby opportunities, and places our members, our club, and our community at the heart of the season.

To support this approach, the club has chosen not to enter the Georgia Rugby Union’s Matrix competition for the 2026–27 season, which serves as the Union’s qualifying competition for the National Championship Series.

For Exiles RFC, the requirements associated with the National Championship Series pathway are too restrictive to support our long-term growth and player retention plan. We believe an expanded fixture schedule better serves our players by creating more opportunities to gain valuable match experience while continuing to provide competitive rugby against quality opposition.

More fixtures also allow us to strengthen longstanding rivalries, create new ones, host visiting clubs, revive many of rugby’s great traditions, and bring more rugby to our North Fulton community, particularly Alpharetta and Milton.

This approach supports our long-term vision of multiple Men’s XVs, a full Women’s XVs program, and a thriving Exiles Rugby Academy, creating a lifelong pathway where players and families can belong to one club.

We wish every club competing in the Matrix a successful season and look forward to an exciting year of competitive rugby, community, and tradition.
