***Trail History***

Bulldozer!

What a name right?! Well it came about pretty naturally.

Look Out Rock is one of the best spots on the property. Dinner Trail Rides, Overnight Campouts, even our wedding pictures have happened up there.

Look Out Rock is beautiful. There was just one problem. It’s a steep climb up. And therefore a steep climb back down. So steep in fact that occasionally we had to get off and lead the horses down.

Mr. Greene (founder and director of God’s Adventure Camp) is a life time logger and after discussing the safety issues of getting back down from Look Out Rock he came up with a solution.

The bulldozer was put to work and soon there was an alternate route to come back down from Look Out Rock.

The trail is more bumpy then our typical railroad logging paths and it usually needs more TLC every spring, but it’s a great trail that lets us enjoy the Look Out with more variety of riders.
While this trail might not date back to the 1800s like some of the old logging trails, it has served us well for years now and hopefully for years to come!

Summer camp is done

The fair has come and gone

School has started

Do you know what that means?!

We are OFFICIALLY on baby watch!!!!

Independence surprises me by getting bigger every day! These last few weeks are tough when your baby is over 100 pounds!!

Let’s see some guesses on gender (open to name suggestions following our royalty/title theme) and delivery dates!

**Keelin Bliss was her rider gir the Drill Team this summer and for obvious reasons they got along well😂! We are excited to meet that baby too but in a few more months!

Say it isn’t so! And yet. There is nothing quite like fall trail rides…..

Horse Highlight****

General!

This little man was bred and born right here!
The dam was Ginger, a faithful POA, that served as a camper favorite for years! (She is still kicking! Just living out her retirement with little girls to dote on her!)
The sire was non other than our dear sweet Apache (also a camper favorite!) and a beautiful paint with a super intelligent head!

General was born a little on the small side. He was not going to mature to horse height. Because he was going to be so small we needed him to beef up. We did not geld him right away.

As he grew and we began training his intelligence really shone through. This is one smart and athletic pony!
General became our next stud as Apache retired into camper horse life.
General sired 3 foals. All of which have been extremely athletic and versatile (and all outgrowing him in height! 😂)

General was one our lead horses in the Drill Team at the Potter County Fair this summer. General won first in show at halter (judged on confirmation). All week long we heard compliments on what a beautiful and athletic horse.

General is now gelded and retired into camper horse life (although our wranglers sure like to keep him as a wrangler horse!) He is definitely a favorite for looks as well as athleticism!

General has some of the best ground manners and is also a favorite at pony rides ALL over Potter County!
