💘 Valentine’s Day, fencing style!

Coach Jenn and Coach Alan spent their Valentine’s Day the best way they know how — with an armory date fixing club epees, floor reels, and score boxes.

Because sometimes love isn’t roses and chocolates…
sometimes it’s making sure the equipment is ready for the next bout. ⚔️

We love seeing the dedication (and teamwork) that keeps our club running strong. Happy Valentine’s Day from RRFC!

⚔️ Beginner Fencing Classes Start in March!

Busy schedule? No problem — we now have beginner classes that fit just about everyone.

New at our Pflugerville location:
• Tuesday & Thursday – 6:30 PM (perfect if 5 PM is too early)
• Adult Beginner Class – 7:30 PM
• Homeschool Beginner Class – 10:00 AM

Also available in Round Rock:
• Monday & Wednesday – 5:00 PM

Whether you’re a student, a working adult, or a homeschool family, we have a beginner class that works for you.

Congratulations to Graham for earning 1st place in the Y-14 Mixed Saber event at the Houston Sword Sports Winter Friendlies!

This marks his first 1st place finish and his best result so far. We’re proud of his progress and excited to see what’s next.

Due to the weather, classes at all of our locations are canceled for today Monday Jan 26.

January 4th was a great reminder that even coaches need coaching sometimes.

Coach Michael and Coach Ian were competing, with Coach Alan coaching them throughout the event. Tournament coaching plays a critical role for fencers at every level, supporting strategy, mindset, and decision-making between bouts.

When our coaches continue to learn and accept coaching themselves, it sets the example we want for our athletes—growth, humility, and commitment to improvement.

Congratulations to everyone who competed at a local saber club tournament on January 4th!

• Coach Ian placed 3rd in C1 Senior Mixed Saber, also earning his D26

We were honored to welcome Aki Watanabe, a foil fencer and parafencing coach from Japan, to Round Rock Fencing Club. ⚔️🌏

Aki visited all of our locations and had the opportunity to experience blind fencing firsthand at our Round Rock location, learning more about the blind fencing program in Texas started by Coach Murray.

He also helped lead a parafencing demonstration using official parafencing chairs for our intermediate saber class at our Pflugerville location.

It was a wonderful cultural exchange, a great learning experience for our students, and the beginning of a new friendship for the club.

When we say we’re a fencing family, we mean more than just fencing. 💙⚔️
We recently hosted a board game night, and Super Fight quickly became the fan favorite — with the adults having just as much fun as the kids!
We love building a community that plays together, laughs together, and fences together.
