🏆 Royal Athletics Hall of Fame Nominations Are Open

We are now accepting nominations for the Royal Athletics Hall of Fame!

The Hall of Fame recognizes individuals and teams who have distinguished themselves through exceptional leadership, character, and achievement in athletics while making a lasting impact on Royal Schools Athletics and the Royal community.

Former athletes, coaches, staff, community members, and others are invited to submit nominations.

Nomination forms are available on the Royal School District website under the Athletics tab.

Seniors Jill Allred, Emerson Eilers and Avarie Hill were invited to play in the 1A All State Senior Showcase on Sunday along with fellow 1A softball seniors from around the state, and Coach Lisa and Coach Darin got to help out. It was an amazing day to collaborate with athletes and coaches we've seen over the years but didn't know well. The girls all did amazing, so proud to represent Royal! Way to go, ladies!

The Lady Knights ended their run at the state tournament yesterday tying for 7th after falling to College Place 4-0. This brings their season record to 20 wins and 9 losses. Along the way, the Knights generated 263 hits, 44 doubles, 8 triples and 8 homeruns. The team outscored opponents with 262 runs scored to 129 runs against. Jill Allred pitched nearly every inning, for 220 strike outs for a school record for career strike outs at 810 and allowing only 56 earned runs. We honor our 4 seniors and will deeply miss them: Evelyn Acencio, Jill Allred, Emerson Eilers, Avarie Hill. We are so proud of the entire team and all their hard work at practices and games this season, and look forward to what's to come! Juniors: Paige Christensen, Rosario Bujanda. Sophomores: Sarah Bergeson, Hali Christensen, Leah Christensen, Kylee Orth, Grace Soliz. Freshmen: Lizzie Jenks, Aurora Santillan, Livi Wardenaar. Go Knights! 🖤💛🥎

After a loss to a tough Monte team, the Lady Knights play on in single elimination play starting with College Place at 7pm tonight. Go Knights!

The Lady Knights move into double elimination play at state today starting with Montesano at 1pm in Richland at Columbia Playfields field 4. Winner moves on to Saturday, loser plays at 7pm. Go Knights!

The Lady Knights beat Klahowya in yesterday's state tournament loser-out game 10-9 in the bottom of the 8th when freshman Livi Wardenaar came through big time for the team with a walk-off single with bases loaded to win the game! Livi had a great day at the plate going 3 for 4 with a double, while Jill Allred had a double and a triple with 2 RBIs. Sarah Bergeson also put a lot of pressure on the defense for 2 RBIs, and Emerson Eilers, Lizzie Jenks, and Hali Christensen had RBIs also. Jill commanded the circle for the Knights, with 10 strike outs to surpass the 800 strike out record for her career! Next up: Double elimination play starts today vs Monte at 1pm at Columbia Playfields in Richland (field 4). The game will also be on NFHS Network, or follow along with the play-by-play on GameChanger. Winner moves on the Saturday, loser plays at 7pm. Go Knights!
