1979 Marshall JMP MKII 100W came into the shop after sitting for most of its life packed away it a basement. Two output tubes were missing as well as a preamp tubes. 1951 Valco 1x10. Commonly referred to as a “Chicago 51” as Chicago is the city Valco was located and “51” was the postal code. This came into the shop with a shorted 6V6 and barely passing signal. I installed a new pair of 6V6s, replaced the original can caps with new Hayseed Can Caps, replaced the original wax caps with new Vishays and properly installed a 3 prong AC cord for safety.

1970s Fender Vibro Champ. Was recently butchered to hell by a local “forum “ tech. Spent my afternoon cleaning up the mess and using my skills to diagnose issues and not relying on FB forum groups to fix the amp for me and eventually just shotgunning every part in the amp hoping it gets fixed. It’s crazy what you see in this town. Don’t be fooled by imposters.
