Sacramento Outdoor Volleyball

Sacramento Outdoor Volleyball is seeking to add two volunteer positions to our Board of Directors. These roles will help support our tournaments, equipment needs, social media presence, and community outreach.

These are unpaid volunteer positions.

Applicants must be:
- 18 years of age or older
- Live in Sacramento or the surrounding Sacramento area
- Passionate about supporting the local outdoor volleyball community
- Willing to assist with events, tournaments, and board responsibilities as needed

Volunteer Equipment Manager
The Volunteer Equipment Manager will help maintain Sacramento Outdoor Volleyball’s equipment and assist with tournament setup.

Responsibilities include:
- Helping organize, track, and maintain volleyball equipment
- Inspecting nets, poles, boundary lines, balls, and related supplies
- Assisting with setup and teardown at tournaments and events
- Helping direct proper net placement during tournaments
- Supporting volunteers during equipment setup
- Notifying the Board when equipment needs repair or replacement

Volunteer Social Media Manager
The Volunteer Social Media Manager will help support Sacramento Outdoor Volleyball’s online presence and community outreach.

Responsibilities include:
- Creating and posting social media content
- Promoting tournaments, leagues, events, fundraisers, and registration deadlines
- Sharing event photos, videos, announcements, and community highlights
- Helping respond to or direct social media inquiries
- Supporting outreach to players, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners
- Helping grow awareness of Sacramento Outdoor Volleyball

As members of the Sacramento Outdoor Volleyball Board of Directors, these volunteer roles will play an important part in helping SOV continue to grow, stay organized, and better serve the local volleyball community. Board members should be prepared to support events as needed and participate in ongoing conversations about the future of the organization. We aim to meet quarterly to discuss SOV operations, goals, upcoming events, and what’s next for Sacramento Outdoor Volleyball. If you are passionate about volleyball and want to help strengthen the outdoor volleyball community in Sacramento, we would love to hear from you.

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent the day with us. The rallies, the celebrations, the sparkles, and the community energy made it such an incredible tournament.

Congratulations to all of our **winning teams** and to everyone who competed. It was amazing watching the level of play across the courts.

Sacramento Outdoor Volleyball weeknight free play is back! All of our meet ups are free and open to players of all levels ages 18+. You do not have to bring a team to join as we will count off and break out into teams every to two sets. Get ready for some fun now that we have more time in the sun!
