Duke Clemmons has been selected to play in the Optimist All-American Game, chosen out of hundreds of players!

This is a huge accomplishment and a moment worth showing up for. Let’s pack the stands and show Duke some love as he represents at the All-American level!

Last night we had our final team dinner of the 2025 football season, and wow, time really does fly. It’s such a bittersweet moment seeing how far these boys have come and how hard they’ve worked all season. 💚

A huge shout-out to Shanika Clemmons, who has led our Gridiron crew with so much dedication these past several years. She’s the heart behind so many of the details that make El Camino Football run smoothly, from team dinners and game days to manager coordination and everything in between. This was her last team dinner, as her son Duke is graduating this year. Shanika, you’re truly one of a kind and will be so missed, but we know we’ll still see you around 😉.

Lucy’s connection to EC Football runs deep — her sons played here back in the 2010’s. She shared with us how, back then, team dinners were held in someone’s home, a tradition that helped build the strong community we still see today.

We are so grateful for your generosity and for continuing to pour into this program, Lucy. Thank you for keeping the tradition alive and supporting our Eagles family! 🦅
