The American River College Rugby family is heartbroken by the passing of Dominic “Dom” Peterson.

Our love and deepest condolences go out to Dom’s family and loved ones, his friends and teammates, and the entire Saint Mary’s College Rugby community.

Dom was a great young man who made the people around him better simply by being part of their lives. He will be deeply missed, but the impact he made on his teammates, friends, and the rugby community will not be forgotten. - Zach

On behalf of the College Rugby Association of America, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Dominic Peterson, and to the entire Saint Mary’s College and Saint Mary’s Rugby communities.

The loss of a young man and teammate in circumstances like these is difficult to comprehend. Our thoughts are especially with Dominic’s teammates, coaches, classmates, and everyone who was with him on Friday.

Rugby has always been more than a game. The bonds formed within a team are profound, and when one member of that family is lost, the impact is felt throughout the wider rugby community.

We mourn with Saint Mary’s, and we hold Dominic’s family, teammates, coaches, and friends in our thoughts during an unimaginably difficult time.

ARC RUGBY 2026–27 SCHEDULE IS FINALIZED!

Our fall and spring schedules are officially set, and we’re excited to add one more big matchup to the calendar:

December 12 — ARC at Saint Mary’s College

This one is going to be special. We’ll get a chance to see ARC Rugby alums Save and Joe, along with so many other brothers in the Saint Mary’s rugby family.

We are really excited about this addition and about how our full fall and spring schedule has come together.

Between our A and B sides, ARC should play approximately 15–20 XVs matches this year, along with a couple of 7s tournaments.

It is going to be a great year with a ton of new faces joining the ARC Rugby family.

We are still looking for people who want to be part of what we are building.
