Latest new pattern. Recently field-tested on lower Yuba River with outstanding results! Now…what to name this pattern?

For when you need to get down deep fast! Perdigon pattern with 4.6mm slotted tungsten bead; Firehole 516 #8 hook; purple thread wrap; gold wire ribbing; Fire Alarm red hot spot; and, Coq De Leon tail feathers. Position this as the anchor fly then place your tag fly approximately 20” above and you’re ready to go. Great for short-line and euro nymphing. One of my favorites on the lower Yuba.

TYROAM: Traveling to fish some patterns tied for the lower Deschutes River in Maupin, OR. Of course, I’ll have plenty of Caddis; Salmon flies; Golden Stones; Green Drakes; PMDs and other unique ties on hand to offer up. We’re also looking forward to participating in the 2025 Troutfest being held 5/30 through 6/1/25 while there in Maupin. And, bringing along a fresh batch of handcrafted wading staffs.
