Started off the year with back to back car-filling buyouts! This one was super cool! The seller was a former minor league ball player. Had a great time chatting while digging through his collection.

I could sense some hesitation early in our communication, which is completely understandable. To have a stranger come to your home isn’t everyone’s favorite idea. He read several of the positive reviews here on my page and we proceeded.

I realized I need to get better at communicating that I am absolutely willing to meet any prospective seller at a neutral location close to the cards (like a Starbucks) so we can get acquainted before heading to your home to dive into the collection. The reason I get so many repeat customers and referrals is my effort to make every deal (or non-deal) friendly, easy and fair.

It may be a down market but I'm always buying and paying fair! I like for cards to be the main part of the deal but I'm always happy to look at any other collectibles you might have.

Still buying large collections in and around (up to about 75 miles) the Sacramento, CA area! Preference (and higher offers) go to collections that have boxes resembling the one pictured here.

Looking for complete collections (yes, I take the junk too) but there needs to be a good amount of value there to make it worth the time for both of us. I do buy unopened boxes as well.

A lot of people ask me how my process works, so here it goes:
- I will first ask for basic info about the collection like which sports the cards are from, what the general year span the cards are from, and approximately how many are there.

- Next, I will ask for a few pictures (usually this takes 5-7 pictures is all) to give me a better idea of what's there. This is an opportunity for you to show me any of the higher value stuff that you may be aware of.

- After that, once I see that there is enough there to get a sizeable deal going, I will set up an appointment to come out and take a look at the cards in person. There, I will make an offer on everything.

- Whether we work out a deal or not, I will remain courteous and friendly and will even help you put the cards back if requested.

I started this page after hearing about someone who bought a local guy's card-shop inventory for $300. He then shared after going through just one of the 100+ boxes he bought. Just that first box alone was worth more than 5x what he paid. All in all, it was probably 100X what he paid. To be honest, it made me cringe. Of course I'm doing this to make money, but I'm not trying to essentially rob people. I offer fair prices and will even return with a bonus if I discover that I grossly underpaid for what I got.
