CLARA provides a sustainable home for the arts and arts education CLARA — the E.

Claire Raley Studios for the Performing Arts — provides studio and performance space for professional and community-based arts groups to create, collaborate, develop stability, and grow. We opened our doors in April 2016, and our creative spaces are already fully leased. We are deeply grateful to our many partners -- including the City of Sacramento, Sacramento City Unified School District, the Raley-Teel family, and many other artists and visionaries -- for helping to make our work possible!

$400 to go in the next 90 minutes -- do you think we can do it?

05/08/2026

At CLARA, a lot of what we do comes down to bringing people together: students performing for proud families, artists sharing their work, audiences experiencing live performance together.

And wherever there are audiences…there are chairs. 😊

The chairs we’ve used for the last 10 years were donated when CLARA first opened, and they’ve served us well — but they’re ready for retirement. This Big Day of Giving, we’re raising funds to replace them with safer, easier-to-use seating for our community, while also upgrading our long-overdue website.

We’re incredibly close to our goal — just $3,400 to go!

If CLARA has ever impacted you, your family, or someone you love, we hope you’ll help us cross the finish line today (link in comments). ❤️

-- New seats and chair racks for our auditorium -- so our guests can sit in comfort and our staff can handle setup/teardown more quickly and efficiently.
