GASHAA — The Hip Power of Mongol Bokh
The Gashaa technique in Bökh uses powerful hip positioning to break an opponent’s balance and force them to the ground. In Bokh, if your hand, knee, elbow, or body touches the ground, you lose. This technique shows how timing, balance, and explosive hip power can end the match instantly.
We’re training Mongol Bokh in Sacramento. Anyone who wants to learn is welcome to join. 💪

Introducing Mongol Bökh to Sacramento and Fresno Hmong New Year

In Mongolia, there are three sports that define a man.
They’re called the Three Manly Games.
First - Bökh.
No weight classes. No rounds. No time limit.
If any part of your body touches the ground besides your feet — you lose.
It’s raw strength, balance, and warrior pride.
Second — Mongolian archery.
This isn’t target practice. It’s a skill passed down from the time of Chinggis Khaan.
Precision, focus, discipline — the weapon that helped build an empire.
Third — Mongolian horse racing.
Long-distance. Open steppe. Young riders guiding powerful horses across miles of land.
Endurance. Courage. Freedom.
Wrestling. Archery. Horse racing.
Strength. Skill. Spirit.
That’s Mongol tradition.

Mongol wrestling, known as Bökh, is one of the oldest warrior traditions of our people. It represents strength, honor, discipline, and the unbreakable spirit of the steppe. For generations, Mongol men proved themselves through wrestling — not just for victory, but for pride and identity.
Now we bring that tradition to Sacramento and Fresno.
This is more than a sport. This is culture. This is legacy.
Anyone can join — Mong, Hmong, or not. If you want to test your strength and be part of something powerful, message this page.
