Congrats to Grayson Arena for winning the MVP for our first tournament on the big fields. Grayson was dominant on the mound, at the plate, and in the field.

Also, congrats to our runners up-

Hunter Osika, who hit .600 on the weekend, with unbelievable 1.750 OPS thanks to a great combination of selectivity and power at the plate.

Drew Bell, who had our top batting average at .625, with 5 hits in 8 at bats.

Boys have been hard at it adjusting to the game on "big fields", and that work paid off this weekend! Boys went 3-1 and won the championship of the silver bracket of the GSA "Gulf Coast Gauntlet". Way to go Hooks 13U!!! 🪝⚾️🏆⚾️🪝

The boys finished off their time on the 50/70 fields with a tremendous showing in Cooperstown All Star Village. The team batting average was an astounding .508, with an OPS of 1.431, and 18 home runs hit in 8 games! It was truly a great way to end their 12U season!

We’d like to congratulate our “Player of the Week”, Nathan Warner. Nathan hit .750 through 16 ABs, had an OPS of 2.337 (!!!), and hit is first home run ever! And then his 2nd, and his 3rd, and his 4th. Nate truly had an amazing tournament!

We’d also like to offer congrats to our other nominees:

Javi Duffau- who hit .579 with 1.9 OPS, and also hit 4 HRs.

Grayson Arena- who hit .647 and contributed 3 home runs, as well!

Battling through adversity together molds us into a stronger baseball team. Our pool play ends with a record of 4-2. We came to NY for an adventure of a lifetime with some of our favorite people. It's everything we hoped for and a whole lot more.

ASV Pool Play Day 2 concludes and the team is now 4-0! It's so much fun watching the boys lock-in and play great ball.

Hooks Baseball 12U showed up and showed out today at Cooperstown's All Star Village. Our boys commanded the field today and closed the first day of pool play with a 2-0 record.
