This morning I’m noticing that sometimes the most productive thing we can do is stop trying so hard.
After a busy week of teaching, learning, planning, and questioning everything, I slept in, woke up feeling better, and realized that maybe growth doesn’t always come from doing more.
Sometimes it comes from trusting what we already know.
Today I’m choosing fresh air, dogs, gardening, and a little curiosity about what comes next.

Graduation celebrations tomorrow at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
What a thoughtful, warm, interesting group of ladies and gents this has been to share the week with.
Chair yoga continues to deepen my understanding of accessibility, breath, balance, nervous system regulation, and what it means to support vitality across all stages of life.
Grateful for the experience and the connections made here this week.

One of the things I love most about chair yoga is that it teaches us to pay attention.
Not just to movement —
but to breath, posture, tension, effort, ease, and the nervous system itself.
Sometimes the quiet moments are the practice.

At this stage of life, I’m less interested in “anti-aging” and more interested in:
keeping my balance,
keeping my strength,
keeping my nervous system calm,
and being able to get up off the floor gracefully… preferably without making sound effects.
That feels realistic.

Opening night of the Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
One of the core philosophies of this work is that chair yoga is real yoga — not “less than” mat yoga, but an authentic and powerful practice in its own right.
Chair yoga can support strength, balance, breath, nervous system regulation, mobility, awareness, and connection across all stages of life.
