It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of longtime Northeast Florida Marlin Association legacy member, Danny Ledford.

Danny grew up in the club. From a young age, the Northeast Florida Marlin Association was a big part of his life, and over the years he became an important part of ours. His love for offshore fishing, his dedication to the club, and the friendships he built throughout the years leave a legacy that will live on for generations.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Danny’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him during this difficult time.

Fair winds and following seas, Danny. You will always be a part of the NEFMA family, and you will be deeply missed.

🎣 Tournament Format Announcement 🎣

We've updated the format for the 2026 Historic St. Johns PAL Fishing Tournament, and we're excited about what we've put together.

🏆 Main Tournament Division
Eligible Species:
• Mutton Snapper
• Mangrove Snapper
• Cubera Snapper
• Gag or Black Grouper

Teams may weigh up to 3 fish per day.

Your daily weight will be the combined weight of your 3 eligible fish. Teams may fish up to two tournament days, with their heaviest day counting toward the final standings.

Maximum of one grouper per day may be included in your 3-fish total.

Any registered angler on the boat may catch fish that contribute to the team's overall weight.

🏆 Lady Angler Division
Same format. Same species. Same challenge.

Lady anglers may weigh up to 3 eligible fish, with the heaviest daily combined weight winning the division.

All fish entered in the Lady Angler Division must be caught by the registered female angler.

🪣 Junior Angler Bucket Challenge
Designed just for our young anglers!

Junior anglers will compete using an official tournament bucket and may include any legal bottom fish. Fish one day or fish two days. The heaviest bucket wins.

All fish entered in the Junior Angler Bucket Challenge must be caught by the registered junior angler.

Additional Bucket Challenge rules and details will be announced soon.
