Watched a hard fight between my girls tonight. There can only be one winner. But I am so proud and thankful for the years of commitment and loyalty these amazing young ladies bring. Their future is bright. ❤️❤️

Leadership comes from example…. They believed in her and she believed in them.

Eight years ago, Avery showed up to a lesson wearing bright red shoes — much like the ones in this picture. About a year and a half later, she arrived without them.
“Where are your red shoes?” I asked.
“Oh, I outgrew them,” she replied.
And in that moment, I felt unexpectedly sad. Those shoes had become a constant in our lessons. We learned how to drag in them, land in them, and push off the mound in them. They were part of her foundation as a pitcher.
But, as it turns out, the shoes had to go because she was growing too. Growth is an essential part of every softball pitcher’s journey. Those red shoes grounded her in the beginning, and for both of us, they became a memory tied to hard work, growth, and commitment.
I couldn’t be more proud of the dedication Avery shown and everything she’s done to earn the opportunity to play at the next level.
Congratulations and well deserved! 💙💙
