What a day for the Pierz Trapshooting Team!

Today, our team made history by finishing as the #1 overall team and becoming Granite Ridge Conference Champions for the first time ever! The competition was incredibly close, and we could not be more proud of the focus, composure, and teamwork our athletes showed throughout the day.

We also had THREE Pierz shooters earn All-Conference honors by finishing in the conference

One of the best moments of the day came after the championship was over. After helping clean up the range, many of our students decided they wanted to stay and keep shooting together. After becoming conference champions, they chose to spend their time practicing, improving, laughing, and enjoying the sport together.

That says a lot about this group. They are competitive, hardworking, supportive of one another, and they genuinely love being around each other and representing Pierz.

🎯 Competition Update 🎯

The Pierz Trap Team put together a solid performance this weekend at the Alex Vogel Memorial Competition, hosted by the ANVIL Foundation, Inc. at the Del-Tone Shooting Range Range in St. Cloud, finishing 4th as a team against some strong competition.

We had a few shooters bring home individual honors:
🏆 Callan Wagner – High Gun (Top Male Shooter)
🥉 Isabelle Smith – Girls Varsity 3rd Place
🥉 Cecilia Baert – Girls Novice 3rd Place

Callan’s High Gun is a historic moment for our program—the first time a Pierz varsity boys shooter has earned that title.

We’re proud of the work these athletes are putting in and how they continue to represent our program. There’s a lot to be excited about, but we also know we’re not done yet.
