Can’t keep a secret 🫣

Cole was experimenting and was able to mimic an all natural root beer float bar soap! Omgerd!

Him and I were just playing around one weekend and it just happened!
UnFortunately, I was a bad influence and we didn’t write down the exact recipe 😡
It has vanilla, all the beneficial plant oils and other spices but we didn’t record the exact amounts.
It was a sniff and visual recipie🤣

We were just having some fun and it created one of the best bars ever! 🤪

So with that being said, this will be a for real, “one time batch” and limited, and we will release it on October 10th during our Halloween online event . ( less 2 bars)🤣

A couple of you hard-core followers have sent me your private videos on messenger with your own photos of this beautiful moth!
I have finally been able to experience last evening a wonderful gathering of several Spinx moths also called a hummingbird moth and also called a hawk moth.
They are very plump and they hover just like hummingbirds to collect the nectar and are nighttime pollinators .
This video was taken 730pm at night and I just couldn’t believe the activity going on! 
They are notorious for seeking out Passaflora incarnata passion flower and as I was harvesting some of the flowers, these big beautiful moths were toggling between the flowers.
What a treat!

Wax melts and why they are popular 😊

Recently, I had posted about some wax melts that I just added to the website and had a few people ask what the difference is between these and just getting a candle.😌

I love my candles, and they are very beneficial in the house with releasing pure raw beeswax to help filter the air. Something about a good quality beeswax candle set out on the counter just really lifts the mood!

Wax melts additionally help lift the mood, but they are a little bit more detailed.
They are used with indirect heat, unlike a candle, using direct heat.
We use a wax melter that is decorative and adds a bit more whimsy to the experience.
With the wax being warmed with an indirect heat, the wax does not burn as fast as a candle and can be used many times over. The beeswax also encapsulates the herbs and spices that we add to it and gives it a much longer shelf life and allows the warming of certain spices without it coming into contact with a direct flame.

The vanilla bean wax melt that I just added to the website would not be very good as an actual candle because of the ground vanilla bean. It would clog the wick and you would not be able to enjoy the experience of reheating the vanilla beans to enjoy the scent. 

Candles consume the beeswax and releases both the scent and benefits. Beeswax helps purify the air when used as a candle where a wax melt is more for scenting the air. 

Wax melts are more for aromatherapy and flexibility. You can easily allow a wax melt to harden up, and then slip it in the freezer for a little bit and it will pop right out of the dish and you can save that for another time and use a different one.

Bottom line is really about preference, and I personally use both all the time.

3 things that I MUST have in my living space… Fresh flowers from the garden, healing crystals and a candle/wax melt.💪🏻❤️

I’ve spent the day creating some amazing beeswax wax melts!

I made three kinds for the Halloween event on October 10th.

I also made a vanilla bean and an elderflower wax melt and those are on the website this very moment.

The vanilla bean in particular was a long low heat infusion with beeswax using our Madagascar vanilla beans, and it is absolutely ridiculous! 🫣🫶🏻

A beautiful glass of hibiscus syrup, a wedge of dehydrated orange slice, and two full dropper fulls of the butterfly tincture, add water and ice!

Not one of my best photos, but I had to be quick and my phone lense was fogging up🤪

 This is a photo of one of the bees collecting resin!
Usually, the bees have yellow pockets that don’t look like dew drops like this and that’s because they’re collecting pollen.
With this bee collecting resin from tree sap, it’s like amber dew drops on the legs. 
The bees blend the resin with beeswax and enzymes with the final product being propolis.
The bees then use the propolis as a barrier and protectant to seal cracks, smooth the inner walls and protect the hive from pests and bacteria.

When we find propolis in the hives, it is a very dark brown, very hard and very sticky. It is extremely difficult to pull this out of the hives and we only collect it when there’s extra because sometimes they build propolis, unnecessarily and stock pile it.

Sometimes they use the propolis to glue down the lid on the top of the hive and it’s very difficult to open! Lol 🤪 This makes it very difficult when you’re trying to be stealth with lifting up the lid slowly and carefully to not disturb the bees so much.🫣

Propolis for people offers many incredible benefits!

This is a limited batch of herbal tea that I’ve been playing around with.
It’s taken about two months to gather the ingredients, get them dried and to figure out the right blend.
This will be a limited batch because it includes dried apricots!
The entire blend includes rooibos, really bright orange fresh dried calendula,cinnamon, and apricot pieces.
The apricot and the cinnamon are the most pronounced flavors. ❤️

Rose petal bar soap!

Cole did his first batch of Rose Petal bar soap yesterday with of course me standing over his shoulder 🫣
It came out absolutely perfect! 
This batch in particular took about two hours… OK maybe three with cleanup. Lol.
Poured it into molds yesterday… It will be cut today and then put on the curing rack.
The little pink bee moulds have loofah rounds embedded in the middle. Can’t wait to see how those turn out!
