Del-Tone would like to recognize some of the tremendous shooting done by some of our very own here in Minnesota so far this summer.
First it was Allie Lauer back in June, winning the girls Minnesota State High School League state championship by breaking a 99 out of 100 in Prior Lake, right when she needed it most. Other ladies making waves include Myra Arvig, Delayna Rife, & Dawn Walker, who are all coming off a huge week at the 2026 MTA State Shoot in Alexandria, winning more trophies than we're going to list.
Most notably Myra Arvig claimed High Overall Lady 1 & Lady 1 Handicap Champion. She also won the class A High All Around. Delayna Rife took home the Class B High Overall, Lady 1 Handicap RU, & Lady 1 Singles Runner Up, after shooting an impressive 197/200 and then ousting Myra in the shoot-off. Not to be outdone, Dawn Walker took home a couple of Lady 2 titles, claiming both the HOA & HAA.
Pete Walker, won the MN State High Overall title with his score of 1068/1100. CONGRATULATIONS PETE, on earning your 4th major state title! Joe Opitz had a great weekend, taking home the Veteran High All-Around, and young Sub Jr. shooter Carter Weitz from Foley shot great as well, winning the sub jr. high handicap on Tuesday's youth day and breaking his first 100 straight in singles the very next day.
All of these shooters call Del-Tone home, and they represent us very well as they travel about winning titles and earning spots on both the state and All American teams. But they are more than just good shooters. CONGRATULATIONS to you all, and the very best of luck with the rest of your season.

It was a good day for the All Del-Tone Jr. Team at the MTA state shoot today. Together they broke 450/500 in the singles event, which was good enough to earn runner up.
Carter Weisz was also the Sub Jr. singles champion, with his score of 95, as well as 3rd place Sub Jr. handicap with a score of 91.
Logan Hanzlik took home an individual medal for Jr. class B runner up in singles with a 93.
Nice shooting team, thank you for representing Del-Tone with some good shooting and good sportsmanship.

A huge THANK YOU to all the participants, coaches, and parents that helped The 2026 Del-Tone 100 high school trap tournament go off without a hitch. There were 22 high schools represented at this years shoot.
It was a beautiful day, but the high winds didn't make anything easy out on the line. CONGRATULATIONS to all the medal winners and also Princeton, Foley, & Rocori high schools, our team winners. To see a list of the winners, and more pictures from the day click on the photos.
We truly appreciate you all for participating in this years event. GOOD LUCK to all the teams and individuals headed up to Alexandria for the MN State Championships and then to Prior Lake for the MSHSL State Tournament.

The 2026 Viking Shoot came to its soggy, but action packed conclusion on Sunday afternoon.
Congratulations to Viking Chieftain Derek Fischer. Down 2 targets with 100 doubles yet to shoot, he stepped out onto the line with his squad, which included the current leader, Scott Arvig. Shooting in the rain, Fischer edged Arvig by 3 targets, and claimed sole title and the sword, with a weekend total of 564 / 600.
The high combined handicap score for the weekend was a tie between Jaeden Eiden & Scott Arvig, who both broke a 186 / 200. Arvig conceded the title to Eiden without shoot-off, and the young man went home with both the axe and a full yard punch for his very impressive score of 97 from Saturday, which was the highest of the entire weekend. Well done Jaeden.
Congratulations to our champions, great shooting. To see all the score from the weekend, visit sosclays.com

The 2026 sword and axe are in and up for grabs at this weekend’s Viking Shoot.
To be eligible for the sword and axe, you must shoot both days. The high overall claims the sword, while the high combined handicap winner takes the axe.
It’s sure to be a real battle, we’ll see you then.
