End of June there will be a tournament up in Hancock Michigan hosted by Dekker Sa Bom Nim! This is another opportunity to meet and compete against students and test your skills and courage! Registration is already open!

Just some of our favorite moments from the Spring Soo Bahk Do tournament this past Saturday!! These kinda of events help students step out of their comfort zone where they get to demonstrate the skills they have been learning and working hard to achieve!!

My name is Kayla Kieke, I’m a white belt with a blue stripe, and I started in January of 2026.
Honestly, I joined because I wanted something to be able to relieve stress and get my mind off things. And I also love how hands on it is!
One of my favorite things about training would be how i’m pushed to my limits while also being allowed to take things at my own pace. I also like the people I train with, they make it fun! As for the art, I think it’s very intriguing. It really shows the separation of just fighting and moving with intention/strategy.
If I was to convince someone to join, i’d tell them that it’s rewarding. Not only physically, but mentally as-well. No matter how nerve racking it may be from time to time, i’ve enjoyed every class.

Next week we have our regional tournament down in St. Paul! Here are some snippets of Armstrong BSBN and Persinger KSN demonstrating point sparring at SEALS in Sydney Australia to show you what to look forward too!
