One of the hardest parts of healing chronic pain for me is feeling like I’ve been cut off spiritually. That’s such a key part of healing and life for me, and I haven’t been able to tune in like I want in months. I believe that’s part of pain, brain fog, fatigue, and my medications. So instead I’m focusing on meditation. To me, meditation is like prayer, but instead of actively talking to God, we’re waiting and listening to hear from God and from our highest selves. Meditation has been difficult so I’m taking a little at a time. Even five minutes a day can be wonderful. Taking that time to tune in and say “okay, I’m here.” And let that be enough.

I stumbled upon a remedy for joint pain yesterday. I was at a coffee shop to do some work and wanted a healthy drink option so I got a golden milk. Theirs was made with oat milk, tumeric, cinnamon, cardamon, and sweetened with date sugar. It wasn’t the best tasting thing right? But it was still pretty good. I got it because I didn’t want to drink something that would make me hurt more. Well, I was able to sit at the table for 2 hours, able to sit in the car for 2 hours throughout the day running errands, and able to walk through target as well as two other stores at the mall. Without a doubt that was my lowest pain day in months. I had very little back pain compared to normal and didn’t end the night in agony. My normal lately is to stay home most days, and if I do go out I can do ONE thing. My low back pain has created what’s called a “sitting disability”... Anyway, I have liquid tumeric at home as well as pill form, but maybe I wasn’t taking enough. I’m going to start making Golden Milk at home to have with breakfast everyday! I’m going to start using this page to share everything I’m trying and how it works for me. I hope I can help someone else with my healing journey. Thank you for following along 💛💛💛

Hands down, Zion National Park is one of the most beautiful places in planet earth. Have you been? If you haven’t, add it to your bucket list. We have so many stunning places to visit on this beautiful planet and yes the world might be pretty shut down right now and many boarders are closed, but you can still find ways to travel and enjoy if you get creative with what’s in driving distance. For some places, it might require waking up early and stalking the websites the day they release tickets for the following month so that you can snag some for your family. That’s what we did for our Zion trip last weekend. It takes planning but it is seriously so worth it. I truly believe that getting out in nature is one of the most healing things we can do for ourselves. I love hiking because there’s something to physical movement and stunning scenery to clear the mind and awaken the soul.

You know what? I’ve decided life is short and I really ought to give more fun little gifts to people. Big or small it’s nice to be able to put a smile on someone’s face. These little loves are going out tomorrow 💙

I found this devotional journal in the airport on Sunday. It spoke to me so I brought it home. It’s already perfect for what I need right now. Find Rest: A Women’s Devotional for Lasting Peace in a Busy Life by 💗
