This legacy was created in memory of Stan, a lifelong athlete who spent more than 40 years as a triathlete and runner.

His passion for sport was matched only by his dedication to encouraging others to begin—or continue—their own journey.

This is such a handsome picture of my dad! He was always young and fun in my eyes. I’m so grateful for the legacy he left us and the memories that will always keep him close to our hearts. ❤️

Christian has been working so hard after her accident, and we couldn’t be more proud of her for showing up and taking on the TriUtah Brineman Triathlon next month! 💪🏼❤️

She’s tackling the 70.3, while we’ll be taking on the sprint distance. We can’t wait to watch her cross that finish line!

Go Christian!!! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️🔥

Here's a glimpse into Mikaela's application:

Endurance racing has become one of the most meaningful ways I challenge myself, both physically and mentally. Training gives me purpose, discipline, and something to work toward, even on the days when motivation is hard to find.

My first race was a marathon in 2023, and while crossing the finish line was rewarding, the real challenge was the months of preparation that came before it. Training through an injury, attending physical therapy, and staying committed taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of trusting the process.

Now I'm taking on an even bigger challenge, my first triathlon. With little experience in swimming or cycling, I'm stepping far outside my comfort zone while rebuilding my running. Reaching the starting line will represent months of hard work, consistency, and believing in myself. I hope to continue pursuing endurance events that challenge me, help me grow, and remind me that I'm capable of more than I once thought possible.

Mikaela will be competing in the TriUtah East Canyon Triathlon this weekend. This was also Stan's first open water triathlon many years ago. Good luck Mikaela!

Congratulations Eric on finishing the TriUtah Echo Triathlon!

Here is his race report.

This was my first ever triathlon, and I was so excited for the opportunity to participate.

The swim was definitely the hardest part for me since I don't have much of a swimming background, and open water was a challenge all on its own. There were definitely moments where I had to stay calm and keep pushing, but making it out of the water felt like a huge accomplishment.

Once I got on the bike and started the run, I felt right at home. I was able to pass a lot of people and really enjoyed those parts of the race. It was also incredible to experience the race atmosphere and be surrounded by so many encouraging athletes, especially getting to race alongside my friends who all did an amazing job.

I'm incredibly grateful to the Stan Davis Legacy for giving me this opportunity. This race challenged me, gave me confidence, and left me excited to continue my triathlon journey.

Congratulations to our next athlete Christian. She will be doing the TriUtah Brineman 70.3 Triathlon in September. We can't wait to meet her in person.

Christian was involved in a cycling accident and is on her way back to the sports she loves. We are amazed by her determination and ability to heal so well. She is definitely an inspiration.

Here is her story...

I got injured during a ride with a local cycling club in March. They are all really great people and it was just an accident. We were riding in a two line peloton and had done almost 3 hours riding to Springville and were back on the Murdoch Trail about 8 miles from our destination.

We were riding 21 mph and the gal in front of me je**ed her bike to the right so hard that it shocked me, I looked up and had about one second before I collided with the trail gate. I didn’t even have enough time to brake. The sign on the gate caused the lacerations on my chin, shoulder, arm, and leg. Then I slammed to the right cement post and hurt my right shoulder.

I got off the bike still conscious thinking I was okay but when the cycling group came to check on me, I told them my leg was what hurt the most. They lifted my shorts up and my skin flapped open into a gaping hole. It was white gruesome. Thankfully they applied pressure and I was rushed to the hospital by the paramedics.

The rider who applied pressure on my wound is a family doctor and told my family while I was in the hospital that if he hadn’t applied pressure to the wound I would have just bled out. It was quite a tricky wound to mend. The surgeons took 8 hours to deliberate how best to patch me up since the wound was quite deep and an odd shape.

I’m just so grateful that I got to keep my leg and I didn’t break anything. On the outside it looked very much like I was “okay” even though my wound opened up post stitches and didn’t heal for 2.5 months. It was such a stressful period (as I just waited to be whole again). But I feel so so much better now! I am back to cycling and running. My fitness is awful but at least I can do the things I love again💕

Congratulations to Jennifer one of our Stan Davis Legacy Award winners who completed her first triathlon today. She did the TriUtah Jordanelle Olympic distance and we couldn't be more proud. Read her comments below.

Completed my first triathlon today — Olympic distance with insane elevation! 🏊🚴🏃

The race was set in 6,162 elevation. The swim was 0.93 miles in open water with current and wind, and I'm pretty sure we ended up swimming over a mile. Then came a 25-mile bike ride with plenty of hills (+1,360 ft elevation), followed by a hilly 10K run (+400 ft elevation).

Overall, it was an awesome experience. I had a lot of fun, but my body is definitely feeling it right now. This race also reminded me that I probably didn't train as well as I thought I did. 😂

Happy Global Running Day! Read their post to be entered to win a Jeff Galloway singlet and training plan. 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️

Happy Global Running Day!

More than 50 years ago, Jeff Galloway set out with a simple mission: make running more welcoming, more enjoyable, and more accessible for everyone.

He believed the road was wide enough for every type of runner—fast runners, slow runners, walkers, beginners, marathoners, comeback stories, and people who never thought they could call themselves runners at all.

That belief helped create a global community built on encouragement, support, and the idea that everyone is an athlete.

Today, we celebrate not just running, but the friendships, confidence, health, and life-changing journeys that come from putting one foot in front of the other.

To celebrate Global Running Day, we're giving away some of Jeff's favorite Galloway singlets AND a Customized Essentials 6-month custom training plan!
