I’m so tired of this inflation. Welding supplies have went through the roof. It’s like a kick in the nuts every time I have to go buy wire and gas. I haven’t raised prices but one time in 5 years. But something’s going to have to give. Wire has went up over $70 here, we aren’t even talking about stainless, just regular welding wire. Boxes have went up $50+ (shipping costs 30 dollars of that, thank diesel prices) since I started. Bubble wrap has went up $6 a roll. My favorite welding gloves went up almost $10.

A $120 trip to the welding store has now turned into 240+.

I just wonder if there will ever be a downward trend, or if it’s going to just keep getting more ridiculous.

Not even to mention $6 body wash is now $12. Old spice body wash is $14. 2 pack of Deodorant is $9.

I don’t know how any of you can actually afford rod holders, but I promise you every single purchase means the absolute world to me, and does not go unnoticed. It is more than appreciated. In a world where you can’t fill your truck up less than $100, or visit Walmart for less than $250, you still find a way to support Takedown Rod Holders.

On the days it gets me down, and it really sets in how bad it all really is, on the days I completely feel defeated, all of you keep me going. Every single one of you. So thank you.

Been an interesting morning to say the least, but I gotta brag on Takedown Rod Holders LLC again!
So we fished until about 1 this morning (there were storms yesterday but it barely rained on us), when we got back Sam put a pole out and left it in the rod holder before we went to bed. The water was pretty normal, just a little swift.
We got a text about 9 this morning saying Brandons boat was upside down. We went out to look and realized we couldn't see the rod he had left out. We assumed it, along with everything else on the bank, was gone. As the water started dropping a little we could see what looked like the tip of the rod.
While they worked on getting his boat flipped back over, Sam grabbed that rod and actually had a hard time getting it out! He got it and it's fine, we still can't see the rod holder but it absolutely did its job! We've always used them and thought they were great, but in this mess we never expected it to still be there. I can't say enough good things about them.

Did anyone actually have any luck yesterday? I know a lot of people in my area went skunked. I fished 8 hours with 0 big fish bites 😑😑 Atleast I was out there, but with the storms coming through I expected much, much more

It’s been pretty quiet on here, not sure if anyone noticed, but I would like to apologize if you have.

Sometimes, I need to unplug. Find the passion and drive again. Social Media is absolutely exhausting, and when it comes down to it, without Facebook, my business wouldn’t even exsist.

But it’s not said enough, if you’re feeling over whelmed, stressed, sad about the world, stay off social media for a couple of days, and your entire brain will reset. None of this “stuff” that’s happening online, isn’t really happening to you.

Go to the store without your phone. Go drive down back roads without your phone, without music, no radio. Listen to the wind, watch a sunset, I swear you’ll feel like an entirely different person at 48 hours.
