๐ 'SUCCESS STORY' TIME ๐
When Alloy Personal Training announced it was opening in St. Louis Park, Kelly signed up to be one of the very first members.
Before COVID, she had been a regular at another fitness studio, but like so many people, she fell out of her gym routine, and what she missed most was accountability. "A lot of people say, 'Oh, I just have a gym in my garage,'" Kelly says. "That's awesome, but that's not going to work for me."
At Alloy, she found exactly what she needed. With no more than six people in a session, it felt personal from day one. "You don't feel like a number," she says. "Being in my fifties, I wanted a place where the coaches knew me and knew my issues of the week, whether it's my knee or my back. This is the closest thing I've had to personal coaching."
"You see people doing pull-ups and think, 'I'm never going to be able to do that,'" she says. "And lo and behold, I'm getting closer with the band. Even foam rolling was super intimidating to me, and now I love it."
Kelly didn't join expecting to make new friends, but the community has become a highlight. She knows the regulars by name, catches up on their trips and families, and joins in cheering on every newcomer. "If you miss a session, there's going to be a reach-out," she adds. "Accountability is big."
Her advice for anyone thinking about Alloy? "Try it. Give it a chance."
