“im not seeing any change in my body, what am I doing wrong?”

so many clients want to lose weight or just feel better in their bodies overall, but why aren’t they seeing a difference?

🫧 CONSISTENCY - you’re doing the workouts and eating well… but just not consistently. maybe you’re not following a ✨ structured program ✨ that is meant to help you achieve your goals. there is a perfect mix of compound, unilateral and accessory movements. a fitness professional can help you learn these things!

🫧 CALORIC DEFICIT - the reality is, you need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight. you could eat healthy as much as you want but if your total caloric intake stays the same, there won’t be much change. there is a healthy way to do this without sacrificing your health; you don’t necessarily need to count calories but you need to understand the food you’re eating.

🫧 PATIENCE - I’ve personally been working out for 6 YEARS. that’s a super long time. I’ve been a pt for 2.5 years. it takes time to learn what works for you and your body and just in general to see changes. this is the MAIN reason that trainers want you to commit to their programs for a certain period of time. it takes AT LEAST 3 months of consistent effort in healthy eating and life habits to see your body start changing.

and finally, just remember that the number on the scale means nothing. you could weigh the same as when you started but look completely different. 💪🏼

finding your passion for fitness is sooo important in maintaining consistency ✨

most of us start our fitness journey based on an extrinsic motivator, but once it moves to intrinsic; you’ve found the sweet spot

extrinsic motivation: praise or approval, appearance, a reward
intrinsic motivation: what drives you and motivates you from within, something that makes you feel good inside

a fitness coach can help you learn and keep working towards your intrinsic motivators through listening to your needs and understanding your goals

10 sets x 10 reps kas glute bridge 🥵
4 sets x 12 reps glute focused rdl’s
10 minutes on stair master

just a reminder that not every workout needs to have a crazy amount of exercises and rep ranges. this was a tough workout and left me insanely sore with only 2 exercises! I’ve been working a lot on form and functionality lately and really loving it 🫶🏻
